So we filled up on small plates of ceviche, tostadas de atun, and guacamole (with chapulines on the side for the skurd Americanos). I'm not a huge fan of chapulines (grasshoppers) but La Cueva makes the best I've tasted to date! They must be seasoned in soy sauce or Maggi's.... delicioso! We had three craft cocktails (really, four, because one specific drink was BOGO), three apps; and our bill was $50. Well worth the food/drink/service/atmosphere and experience.

On our last visit, our group of about 20 had a great experience. We were seated promptly, received great service, our food was delivered quickly and was of very good quality - at a reasonable price. We shared a Parillada, which combines a few different types of meats including chorizo. The meat was flavorful, and delicious, comparable to higher-end restaurants in the US. Everything from the soup to coffee is good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. I would not recommend the quesadillas, there are better places for that. On this Saturday (you should go on a weekend to get the full Tepoztlan market experience) they had live music, which was fine. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal. I would recommend it.

Their bathrooms are super clean and are located in the second floor. The owner of the establishment was really nice and even gave us few recommendations on other places to visit.
