After coming to this location for years, I will not be shopping here ever again. As I was checking…read moreout, an associate grabbed the shoes I was about to scan on the counter and proceeded to check the shoes I was buying to see if the stickers were tampered with. Never in my life has this happened to me. She realized the sticker underneath was an even cheaper price ($10.29) and was shocked by that. She then went to the back and added a new sticker to the price it was in the literal first place ($14.99). This store definitely racially profiled me and the reason I know that is because a Caucasian lady at the same time was checking out multiple shoes and never had her stickers checked. I proceeded to question the manager about the situation and he said they check all shoes at check out. That's not true. They are only checking people with melanin in their skin. Ellisville Saver's do better with who you hire to represent you! There are other reviews below about racism at this store.

Super cheap. The sweet senior lady working there opened up 15 min early for us and was a doll. My boyfriend scored a seriously awesome vintage jacket for a buck and I found lots of unique things. We went around Thanksgiving and they had loads of nicer Christmas items, too...most for under a dollar.

The store sets along the old main drag of Augusta, MO with many other buildings of yesteryear. When you enter the store, you will be greeted with a smile and lots of great treasures. I was there for over an hour and bought a beautiful reverse painting and an antique urn. The prices are right and the service is second to none. The next time that I'm in the area this great little shop is on my list for a visit.

They are also connected to a Marshall's so you can shop both stores at the same time. The aisles are narrow, and kind of hard to navigate if you have a cart and other customers are in the aisle. The Checkout line was long, and didn't seem to be moving quick.

At Home Goods, I found lots of options for indoor and outdoor planters and stands. They have lots of plush throws and pillows, home decor, bath accessories, bedding, and more. Prices are good. Like any store, quality varies by brand. Marshalls is the clothing side. I don't care for it so much, because it has a less organized feel. There aren't necessarily multiples of items in different sizes, so you just hope you can find things you like that fit you. That can mean extra time trying things on, or searching racks hoping to find that piece in a different size. I did pick out some $10 sunglasses. Time to check out. Holy crap! There were at least 25 people in the queue. While we waited for 5-6 cashiers to process us, we were herded like cattle through aisles of low priced goods. Impulse shopping opportunities everywhere. Cocktail napkins, candy, curling irons, earrings, hair accessories, phone cases, home decor accessories, toss it in your cart! My cashier was very nice and fast, too. I'm sure I'll go back to HG, but not on a weekend. She said every weekend they have long lines, and they never have sales.

Goodwill packed these shelves and racks with goods that didn't look like they had come from other GW stores. It truly looked like a new store and shoppers were busy looking for the best discounted merchandise. Besides the popular discount store brands, this location also packed in more aspirational clothing labels like Brooks Brothers, Nordstrom, J. Crew, Banana Republic, Vineyard Vines, Club Room, and others. That may be indicative of the customer base GW feels it has for this standalone store along south Highway K.

Also, the gift we bought was wrapped up in the tissue and put in a brown bag with a logo,, which made a nice presentation. The only problem was the the person staffing the store, who was informed that the item was a gift, didn't remove the price tag or ask if we wanted it removed. When we got home we unwrapped the gift, removed the price tag, and rewrapped it. If those two things are fixed -- which are pretty basic and easy -- I would give this store 4 stars.
