This is a great family owned business! I didn't want to trust just anyone with my wedding ring and since we are new to the area, we didn't know who to go to for resizing my ring. I read about this wonderful store on Next Door app and it did not disappoint! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. My ring was downsized and fits perfectly now. Found this jewelry store on the internet. It is very close too where I am staying. I took in some jewelry to have fixed, cleaned and checked for lose stones. The lady who waited on me could not have been any nicer, friendlier and professional. Felt so comfortable about leaving my jewelry there and it is all done in house. So many places send it out and tell you 3-4 weeks. She told me that there were a couple things to do to fix a clasp. I told her I trusted them to fix it what they thought best. They called the next day and told me my jewelry was ready. I could not get there then and went in this morning. Beautiful cleaning of my rings. Fixed my necklace and no longer afraid of it falling off. This business is awesome and I will keep going here and recommending to people interested in a wonderful jewelry store. Quoted a completely different price which is sketchy... it was less then I was told which I guess is the good part to my whole experience with merrys jewelers. The pieces to be fixed took exactly a week to be done (like they said) .... I just figured a week they would've called me sooner but never received a call so I called on the 7th to ask how everything was going... mind you I dropped them off may 1 ... they hadn't even been touched , I was worried because I was going out of town may 8 & had to grab it before leaving out of town... a lovely young lady helped me figure out if it was going to be done today or I would just have to pick it up and take it to my usual spot by Seminole... they got it done in 2 hours from not even touching it ! Wow what a speedy job, I wish this was the case from the beginning but it seems they're super busy during this time & I could completely understand that, I just prefer to stay away from Waiting for a long time for things , that's why I have Amazon and shop on Amazon lol I wanted to support a small business... so I figured I'd try it but honestly he wasnt kidding when he said a week.. they also couldn't fix the post on the earring I gave them? I just feel like even for how close it is, it's too expensive , I took 2 GOLD chains & a earring to be repurpose as a necklace to gold king by Seminole mall where they did all of that in 3 days.. they made me feel like family they cared so much about what I wanted & how which is not the same experience at merrys.. The total price for that was how much I paid at merrys... I will never get my jewelry done by them again, I would rather drive the distance then invest so much time in waiting for it to be done. I believe they said they were busy but if that's the case I would've just skipped going down the street and choosing the mall first def go here if you want fashionable vintage jewelry, and cups for holiday parties or mom & dad though! I bought a pair of beautiful earrings for my twin as a birthday gift with real diamonds for a steal! just reconsider how much time you want to invest in waiting for chains to be done when you can have them done else where quicker, for less... and that's from personal experience. read more

I took my yellow gold wedding setting in and asked for a protective layer to be put on it, I was told this was doable by the older lady, she could barely hear me, I had to repeat myself 5 times for her to hear me. I was actually nervous leaving my fine jewelry with her because I had a weird feeling that she didn't understand what I was trying to tell her. I went to pick it up and they turned my yellow gold wedding ring into a white gold ring. They turned it around on to me that I asked for the wrong thing. No one informed me that this would be changing the color of my ring. I'm not a jeweler so I would think an educated jeweler would be a little more informative on this. I was always told to go and get your ring plated for protection and that it could be done in yellow gold as well, I never once mentioned that I wanted my ring to be a completely different color.. I would think that it would have been clarified by someone. They said they would fix it and that it would just buff right off. And I PAID to have this done. Well it's been a week and they must have dipped it in gold plating to "fix" it because now its starting to turn back to silver and the yellow gold plating is wearing off AFTER A WEEK. This ring is a brand new ring that my husband got me for our anniversary and I wanted a new ring so that it was yellow gold.. I actually had a white gold ring that I would get yellow gold plated and I got a new ring to avoid having to do this because it wears of very quickly. I'm so upset about this. My $7000 ring is ruined thanks to them. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here. I've been a loyal returning customer for years and this ruined it for me. Now I have to go pay someone else to try and actually buff this off hoping that it isn't ruined forever. read more

My family was in some straits. We needed some extra money so we took some gold that we handling around the house in to try to make it through bills after taking the gold and I received $1700 for 14 karat gold, two bracelets today, 16 January 2024 I took in another bracelet was offered $300 didn't find anything I wanted in the store so just to check I took it to a Joy store right around the corner. The other jewelry store said the bracelet was worth $800. They offered me $600 for it which is twice as much as this one after explaining to them the two bracelets that I took in the previous Friday, they looked at me and it said that the bracelets more than likely as explained we're worth over $3500. I went back in to talk to the people at this jewelry store to let them know how disappointed I was feeling like I had been scammed, the only thing they would tell me is other jewelry stores are competitive, and they'll say anything to try to make themselves look better. I would understand this, if the other jewelry store had offered me twice as much and then paid me twice as much for the same piece of jewelry that I had just brought into thisbusiness do not take your gold here. If you were in need of money you receive less than half of what it's worth obviously I would not be turning things in if my family did not need the money seriously would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I first brought in watches to have the bands sized. The fee was so reasonable, I came back with a ring to also be sized, a diamond that Merry suggested be combined with another smaller diamond into a 'timeless' pendant setting for a necklace, and I even brought my wedding band from which the center diamond had been lost. Merry and her son suggested I choose a "moissanite" stone - which is just as dazzling as a diamond but a fraction of the cost. Every piece was crafted expertly. When I lived in Eustis years ago, I did a lot of business with Smiley Mr. Merry; that is how he was known, but he ias also known to have the best reputation for honesty and quality merchandise and workmanship. I no longer live in Florida, but I still wish to do business with him 1100 miles away. I bougha gold, mesh card carier from him, and it never tarnished or broke. I had carried it for over 12 years until it was recently stolen from me. I shall try and contsct him to see if he can buy one just like it. It was a besautiful card carrier, one of a kind.
