More interesting hanging Japanese art style kokedama. The shop appeals to all my senses including the wonderful scents of dried fruits used for decor and the fresh cuts being propagated. There's a small outdoor space that I would say is a garden workshop which was absolutely gorgeous dripped in the day's rains where I found drying bouquets and a small corner of rescue ready plants if you like a risky project- like I do lol. I came in to just look at everything and wasn't planning on buying a plant, but I was able to pickup some Instant Plant Food for 50% off and also some mosquito bits--which were remarkably affordable ($2 a scoop of what felt like a small solo cup). There are a ton of little trinkets here in regards to flora, from ceramic planters to little ceramic sculptures that are designed to guard your space and plants from bad energy. While they were a little too out of budget for me, they were a pleasure to look at. The variety of plants was great as well. All the plants seemed well taken care of and if I was trying to acquire new buddies for my home, I would definitely stop here. I knew when I saw Debbie and Ivy's work that I absolutely had to have them (Flowers by Jo-Ann) for my wedding. I know if I'm admiring more traditional pinks and whites (not my thing) that if they could work with darker colors, it would be sublime. I can't go on enough. I really can't. Debbie is a dream to work with. We started with an hour long appointment going over every single thing that I needed or never knew I needed but really wanted. Debbie is very conscious of budget and I'm terrible because I didn't have a budget in mind at ALL, but knew I couldn't have every single thing I wanted (and what I wanted was every inch of the venue covered in arrangements by Flowers by Jo-Ann!!!) She will go over your vision with you (mine-- dark glamour, fall colors, Halloween but nothing too obvious) and create a Pinterest board. Then you'll have a phone call about a month out and discuss more. The result was PERFECTION. Seriously. I cannot cannot cannot stop gushing. Originally I thought I'd save some money and get creative with the table centerpieces myself. About 6 weeks out, I knew that wasn't going to happen, so I was able to discuss some affordable but still beautiful options with Debbie (candles, with flowers and greens). When I walked into the venue last week and saw how they transformed the place into a dark candle and floral paradise, I about lost my mind with happiness. It could not get any better than this Besides the large arrangements and centerpieces, my bouquet and the wedding party bouquets were so gorgeous, we couldn't stop holding them. There were artichokes, dark roses, pops of orange roses, dark purple mums, black calla lilies on mine, and other flowers that I can't quite identify. So beyond gorgeous.
