I had a mixed experience with Finer Edge Painting. Ryan was very nice, and I do appreciate that he…read morecame back and fixed the areas I pointed out. He also told me he would come back and address anything else that needed attention, and I do believe he would.
That said, I was disappointed with the overall quality and timeline. We paid to have four rooms, ceilings, trim, windows, and cabinets painted. Ryan told me he would personally be doing the painting and that the job could be "knocked out in a day." Instead, it took 7 days, and he had an employee doing 99% of the work. He typically didn't arrive until around 11:00 each day, and there always seemed to be another reason for the delays.
The walls themselves turned out fine, but the trim, windows, edges, and detail work were very sloppy and will be redoing myself. I had to put stickers on numerous areas throughout the house to show what needed to be fixed. There were visible drip marks and streaks, paint on areas that shouldn't have been painted, a window that was painted shut, and a door that was painted shut. Some of the edges around the trim and windows were especially messy, as you can see in the photos. Also, got dark paint from shoes all over new carpet that I spent an hour getting out.
I understand that things can be fixed, and I appreciate that Ryan did fix the areas I pointed out. But I don't feel like a customer should have to walk through an entire house and nitpick every inch of the paint job to get it looking finished.
Ryan himself was kind, and I have no doubt he would continue to fix things if I called. But based on the amount of time it took, the communication, and the amount of touch-up work needed, I left feeling disappointed. The walls were fine, but the attention to detail on the trim, windows, edges, and finishing work just wasn't what I expected.
