We were accommodated politely to a quiet table by a window. The beetroot appetizer was like nothing we have ever tasted. Delicious! My partner had the pork entrée & thoroughly enjoyed the grilled sole. Filleted table side. A refreshing strawberry dessert rounded out our dining experience. Our waiter was so engaging! He recommended us to try their sister restaurant in Palma. We will! Thank you for a wonderful date night.

It's hard to find a non-touristy restaurant in Port d'Alcúdia that branches out beyond run of the mill tapas and pizza, but Jardin delivers. I made a reservation a few weeks in advance for a Sunday evening. We arrived through the garden entrance packed with diners, but learned that the testing menu was served downstairs only. We were taken via elevator and escorted to our table in an otherwise empty establishment. There was one other party of two next to us, but no other patrons the entire time we were there. This was definitely odd as you could literally hear a pin drop it was so quiet, but the staff was attentive and friendly without overdoing it on their few guests. The menu is quite unique. A booklet comprised of a poem about Mallorca with a shopping list clipped neatly inside the cover with the shopping list of items purchased expressly for your menu. Our menu consisted of: -Spiky Pear: Bell peppers and prickly pear vermouth -Pa Amb Oli (bread with local olive oils), Mahón cheese -Fried Morey with tumbet -Fried lamb macaron for the hubs and some pork cracklins me -Mahi-mahi, eggplant, and john dory roe -'Quica' egg in tomato with sea cucumber -Truffled moshi of confit bean and bone marrow -Soup of grilled squash and sardine -Razorfish in its reduced jus and fasol beans -Black pork loin with peach, onion, and pine -Yogurt with plums and raw peanuts -Tap de cortí in a sweet brine with sea fennel and intense chocolate We also enjoyed the 2015 Torre Des Canonge (D.O. Pla i Llevant) A very memorable meal!

I was struggling to find something other than the usual beach restaurants on the main drag that…read moreserve "paella, tapas, Spanish specialties, burgers, and pizza," and Royal Beach, certainly seemed a cut above the rest. I loved that it's located right on the beach, rather than the street a block down It reminded me of the lounges in Bali where you have the option of either eating in a restaurant-style atmosphere, or lounging on the deck while people bring you delicious food and cocktails. Although the chef has a Michelin star, prices were quite reasonable. I had a few glasses of their tasty Mallorcan white wine. I started off with a bread basket and olives. The olives were amazing, not too salty or overpowering. The bread, though not free, was very good, and it came with a red pepper puree and an aioli. The fact that they gave me a true aioli rather than just a garlic-flavored mayonnaise let me know that this was a quality restaurant with integrity. For my meal, I had some grilled vegetables with black truffle and a beetroot risotto with Mallorcan cheese and candied nuts. The vegetables had good flavor, but it would have been much better if they hadn't included endives and fennel, which were overpowering and bitter. The beet risotto was very good and had just the right amount of very strong cheese on it. The portion was quite large, and I could have easily shared it. For dessert, at the server's request, I had their daily special, a spongecake with some kind of granita-type ice on it. It wasn't bad, but I wish I'd gone for the goat cheese ice cream instead. Service was excellent. Overall, Royal Beach is a wonderful choice if you're in the Alcudia/Playa de Muro area.

After a recommendation from a random local we met on the street (not a promoter) we went to this…read morerestaurant three times this week. We were not disappointed! The first evening we ordered the sea bass, cooked mallorcan style. The menu said it was for two people, but the dish would easily be enough for three persons. Non the least it was amazing! Second day we ordered paella. For me, this was the first time I eat paella in Spain (have tried it once in Norway, which hardly counts..) and in my opinion it was truly incredible here at the bodega! The waiter recommended a local red wine, Macia Batle from 2010 and it suited perfectly to the paella. The third and last day we ordered tapas. Potatoes with some sort of sauce on, meatballs, garlic shrimps, serrano ham, chorizos and chicken croquettes. If I would remove one dish it would be the chicken. It was okay, but that's all. The serrano ham was heavenly! They have a lot of them air drying in the ceiling in the restaurant and the rest of the interior makes the visit feel like you truly are in Spain, and not in a heavy trafficked tourist village. We got a local red vine to the tapas as well, but I can't remember the name of it. But it was spot on to the tapas, as the wine we got to the paella were. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The food and service is first class. It costs a bit more than the restaurants down on the beach, but you really get true value for the money!
