I was there for 7 and a half hours and ordered a CT with no additional treatment. He referred me to the Iowa Clinic ENT and never sent the referral so I had to calll for follow up. It was an additional 4 days before getting seen. Worst experience ever!!

However, his nurse Helene is horrible! She asked me if I knew what diarrhea was I have low back pain and Bulging herniated disc and I was going to PT and at the age of 52 with two kids I'm pretty sure I know what diarrhea is. Also, I had to get a referral to the ENT which she never called me after three weeks. I made my own appointment. Also they scheduled an appointment for an MRI for my lower back. I had to wait for it to come in the mail and schedule my own MRI appointment. And it was approved two weeks prior to that so don't count on the nurse to make your appointments and they're horrible at responding. After I had my MRI on February 21 I seen Dr. and he was very good and kind And his nurse was nice. However he did write a note for me to return to work after disability for only 24 hours which reduced my work time and then I lost my medical benefits, life insurance, and short-term disability and long-term disability. I've been asked for Multiple times for them to change my note because I only go twice. I don't need two days off a week which is 14 hours eight hours each day to go to a physical therapy appointment and they would not change my note. So I kept calling and sending notes in the portal and nurse promised to call me back I had four panic attacks because I didn't lose my benefits. She promised to call me back and never did after my physical therapy appointment. I went into the office and Dr. Jay's nurse had a complete attitude with me and made me sit there for two hours and was shaking her head at me and wrote all of my medical a note instead of saying, please allow the patient to return to work but give her time to go to appointments. I absolutely appalled that they would disclose all of my medical records and every appointment that I've been to and my personal information. This violated my HIPAA and I told her that and she told me that once she handed my note to me that it was up to me if I wanted to disclose this to my employer. I had no other give it to my if my benefits back. The there are terrible! I would not recommend going there if you need I don't know what's wrong with our healthcare system, but this is not how you treat people who need help!

They want you to stay in your car and text them. Well, my dad can't see and he doesn't really text, so we didn't know ahead of time of these procedures, but we made do and made it work. We didn't wait long to get called back to update paperwork and review everything. They didn't make us wait much longer for the scheduled appointment. Took us back to the waiting rooms to get changed. Got comfy in the waiting room. Nurses all very kind. Could hear joking and good comradery outside our area. We were in this room from about 12:50 til almost 3:30 waiting our turn in line for surgery. Since I was not the one waiting for the surgery, I would have liked to known it was that long of a wait to go get some food or something. However, I was there for support. The room was clean, everywhere we were escorted was clean. All the staff was nice. We had maybe 3 different nurses. Plus, the anesthesiologist, plus the surgeon all stop by before the procedure. They were running a little behind, but that wasn't told to us til almost 30 past the scheduled operation time. I can understand. Lots going on, lots of moving parts, just tiring and stressful. We got in almost an hour past the scheduled time. Finally, it was off to surgery. I was given excellent instructions on where to wait. As I stepped out into the waiting room, a sigh of relief that there was a coffee shop. They had snacks and yummy drinks and I was staving. I got checked into the waiting area, and was given a number so i could be updated as the surgery went on. They also had free tea, coffee, water in the waiting area. TVs and lots of room for families to be together. The nurse liaison was great. He talked to me multiple times. Was up and down from his desk lots and was in and out of the area so he could come pass along information. After the surgery I was taken back. The nurses again were friendly and kind. Helped us get ready. I ran out to get the vehicle and got a little lost trying to get all the way in the back of the parkinglot, but soon made it up front for pickup. Still healing, but overall it was an okay experience.

I understand this facility is not capable of testing for a larger variety of issues, however they decided to prescribe him 2,000mg of Amoxicillin *per day*. His symptoms got worse, and when we continued to contact this facility they advised to stick with the dose. A week later we decided to take him into the ER, and it turned out to be Appendicitis-surgery immediately. Again, I understand that Urgent Care centers have limitations on their abilities. However, a transparent suggestion to seek further medical advice instead of feeding him antibiotics would have been a smart and transparent next step. Very upsetting.

She also said that you don't need to see a doctor for this type of allergy, you can just go to a regular pharmacy and buy medicine yourself! No prescription medication and a month later they sent me another bill for $98.40! Said I chatted with the doctor for 35 minutes! It said that if it exceeds 30 minutes, it will be counted as 45 minutes!
