Now that I am back in the neighborhood, it was nice to come back.The best thing is that the senior pastor, whom I went to college with, still teaches from the Bible. They have grown along with the growth of the neighborhood. It's really nice to see some familiar faces, which demonstrates the stability of the congregation. They have 4 services, each catering to a different style of worship. The early morning Sunday service worked very well for us. Nice to be back!

I especially appreciate Jesse's nuanced and self-aware consideration of skeptics in his flock as he speaks and conveys some of the "unlikely" coincidences in the various books. They have been in this community for years and years under the name Harambee Church (no relation to the gorilla, may he rest in peace), but rebranded to Renton Community Church (probably to differentiate themselves once the gorilla became famous). The congregation is small and intimate, and folks tend to be committed, you'll see the same people week after week. Lots of weekly community groups, too.
