The selection is pretty good and fairly fashionable/current but the prices are a bit high for a second hand store. There are little sections of what appears to be handmade jewelry around the store which is really pretty. The thing that turned me off most to this store was the sign in the dressing room yelling at the customer to put back the clothes they try on. What? What self respecting store does that? It's just pure laziness. I don't think even gold mine forces their customers to put their clothes back on the rack and they're a charity and volunteer run! You're also greeted by a "no public bathroom" sign before you even step in the door which just makes it seem really unwelcoming. If I was the owners/workers (listen up guys!) I would take down that sign and if anyone asks for a bathroom then you say "sorry we don't have one, but there's one down the block in front of park side deli". That way you're being helpful and not accusatory. As for the dressing room sign, come on. I get it it can get busy but you're asking your customers to do your job for you. If you really can't for whatever reason find yourself to put the clothes back, a sign hat says "In this busy summer season, it would be very helpful to us if you could return clothes to where you found them after trying them on. Thank you :)"

She is, however, (1) quite expensive,…read moreand (2) hopelessly disorganized. 1) I live in New York for many years, and never paid anything like $43 (supposedly a discount) for two hems and a zipper. But this is only the insult to the injury. 2) I originally took in a pair of curtains needing hemming in early May. These were promise for June 3rd, but were not available until July 3rd, a full month later. Two other items promised for mid-June were likewise delayed. Anahid appears to rely on her memory for all of the materials left with her, literally hundreds of things. She needs a system for tracking these, clearly. She also needs help with customer service (calling to say it would be delayed, apologizing--something she never did--even offering some sort of restitution for problems). It took 10+ minutes to pick up and pay for my items because of her incompetence. 3) I notice that a cheap sewing machine is but $69 on Amazon; maybe I should hem my own curtains?

Prices are fair but if you're on the hunt for a bargain, don't miss the sale rack in the back. I loved perusing the women's section of the store for myself although I ultimately did not purchase for me this time. Staff is friendly and helpful.
