If I were to go back again, I would get two orders of the tuna steak with onions on top and french fries instead of one of those along with a tuna steak with hummus and vegetables. I think the tuna steak is a must-get since it is their signature dish, from what I read. We had a reservation, but it wasn't necessary. It was a little confusing to find the restaurant - it is on the second floor above a store - you have to take the stairs on the right side of the store to get to the restaurant above.

Good deli and bakery but best to avoid dairy products as there are expensive! Closest of the large supermarkets to our villa at vilabranca apartments 15 minutes stroll door to door. The information desk will order you a taxi back if your bags are too heavy. Decent selection of local and international products plus household items - good range of beach kit and much much cheaper than the beach stores. The fish counter is the highlight but the takeaway section is also great - spatchcock piri piri chicken our favourite. Beer is ridiculously cheap.

They are quick to get your order if you eat outside or are getting pastries to go inside. The space is nice and the outdoor seating area is the better option. I would recommend one of the regional pastries such as fruta de Algarve, which are similar to soft marzipan with a thick egg yolk and sugar mixture in the middle. It's not like marzipan in the States and a lot softer and has a better texture and flavor. The other would be the Dom Rodrigo, which comes in a little colorful foil packet. It's an egg yolk and sugar mixture that is in thin strings layered on top of each other and swimming in a simple syrup. It might be too sweet for some.

I honestly can't swear that the pasta is homemade; I can swear it was delicious. Here's what to expect: 1. Don't be in a rush. There's likely to be a line waiting to get in. If you're in a hurry, go somewhere else. Once you're seated, you won't be rushed. 2. Waiting on line gives you a chance to meet others . We did. In fact, we sat together, which shortened our wait time. And our evening was even better because of the woman we befriended. Now we are all connected. 3. Be hungry. We each ordered a dinner, and we each brought half home. We did start with a cheese and charcuterie appetizer, split 4 ways, and a burrata (definitely order the burrata), still a lot. In other words, with eat heartily or order lightly. 4. They brought limoncello at the end, n/c. Can't promise it, but you'll love it if they do. And the tiramisu with pistachio was, OMG! JUST SAY YES! Any questions?
