I love this busy market on the Triana side of Seville. It is frequented by locals who get meats, fish, produce and some food to eat....as well as by tourists and visitors. There are many many food stalls to choose from and the food choices abound. We got some fruit to eat while walking around and the people working the stalls are nice and warm. Check it out next time you are in the area, it's the true Spanish market type. read more

It feels like it might have been an interesting market at one point, now pretty much lost to tourists and instagram photo opps. Not all of it, but at least half or more. Prices are higher than what you can find right outside. I do get it. Businesses do what they need to do to sell, but in doing so, locals stop coming, and tourists fill it. It is on the smaller side compared to other similar markets I've visited elsewhere. When crowded, it is hard to move. Great location at Barca bridge and lovely venue as it is built on the foundation of a 12th century? castle. I tried two or three things there during our visit, they were just ok. I'm not including the jamon as they are simply purveyors of it. A couple of bars still seem to cater to some locals, along with the seafood stands. If you're visiting on a short trip, it seems worth the stop, especially the lovely small chapel right outside at the base of the bridge. I stayed over a month and was no more than 30 meters from the entrance. I went in with the intent to eat or shop maybe three times. It is a really welcome shortcut in the morning though to get to the bridge in air conditioning. I did that often. When did Paella become a Sevilla thing? read more

A smaller market where many vendors were closed. My review is specifically for a restaurant in the back of the market that served a lot of fish dishes. Did not particularly enjoy this place. Everything was very greasy and it was extremely difficult to order since no one spoke English. I am very understanding of this; however, the man taking our order grew increasingly impatient with us and kept trying to force our orders. It was a very uncomfortable experience. The food was below mediocre and wish I tried a place outside of the market for lunch. read more

This is a wonderful food market, with a wide range of produce and prepared foods. Whether you live here or are a tourist, it's definitely worth a stop. This is a true local farmer's market specializing in seafood but if you love to get a look at local life and you love seafood it's worth a visit. Stall 25, Pescederia Loli, serves up great fresh seafood dishes for lunch. The tuna meatballs are incredible and the paella is top notch. read more

This market is great, however there is a fish market with food. Avoid this place. Bad fish. I had worms in my lunch.

This is a market that doubles into a nice walk if you come from the city center - it is just across the river. Overall, products seemed fresh, and there was a very good jamon place that also had paleta. Cross the river again if you want to eat your freshly sliced jamon tapa along the water - the other side is way nicer for pedestrians! read more

Love this market, built on the site of an ancient castle, I believe, and you can still see the old wall at the C/Castilla end. A great place for fruit, vegetables, cheese, and to have your morning cafe churros with the locals, under the taxidermy bull heads. read more
