Our group had already spent a significant amount of money at the venue the night before, so this experience was especially disappointing. During the evening, I bought a bottle of water at the upper bar. While briefly speaking with a colleague (around 10 seconds), I placed the bottle on the lower bar counter opposite the cloakroom. A staff member immediately removed it. When I approached her right away and explained that I had just purchased it, she refused to return it or provide a replacement. The bigger issue was not the drink, but the way I was treated. The employee, who gave the name "Georgina" (tall, slim, brown hair), spoke no English at all and reacted in a very dismissive and disrespectful way. Instead of trying to understand the situation, she made a hand gesture telling me to go away. Her tone and behavior were rude and confrontational, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. For an international club of this reputation, it is surprising that staff in direct contact with guests cannot communicate even basic English or handle a simple situation professionally. The interaction left me with a very negative impression and a clear feeling of being treated without respect or basic courtesy. Because of this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning, and I believe other guests should be aware of how situations like this can be handled here. En lugar de intentar entender la situación, hizo un gesto con la mano indicándome que me fuera. Su actitud y su tono fueron groseros y confrontativos, lo que me hizo sentir muy incómoda y nada bienvenida. Para un club internacional con esta reputación, sorprende que el personal en contacto directo con los clientes no pueda comunicarse mínimamente en inglés ni gestionar una situación sencilla de manera profesional. La experiencia me dejó una impresión muy negativa y la clara sensación de haber sido tratada sin respeto ni cortesía básica. When I contacted them, I did not get any helpful response from them about what had happened just hours before. Again, going as an attendee is fine but do not get VIP. If they treat VIP coatcheck like this, I'm nervous how they treat the coatcheck for the public! In regards to the club itself, we could not find the other rooms. We tried asking the staff in the VIP room, but they weren't that helpful so we just danced in the main floor.

The music was amazing...some of the best EDM sets and the DJ artfully mixed in American rock. Five stars for the DJ! Make sure you apply an extra coat of deodorant before heading over though because this place is hot...uncomfortably so...by the end of the night I felt like I could skip my workout the next day because I had sweat so much at Sotavento. It's also really cool how the exit for this club lets out onto the beach. A lot of people hang out there and you can still hear the music. It's definitely worth checking out and a great way to escape the heat.

Oh... my... goodness!…read more I had some trepidation about coming here for our traditional Christmas day repas, because of this place's mediocre rating (3.2 stars as of last night). That said, the vast majority of their Yelp ratings refer to their Disco that starts up in the evening... but we were there for a special Christmas menu in the early afternoon. We got there about 1:30 and were greeted by a staff member (at street level) that radioed the restaurant (at beach level) that we'd arrived. We were greeted by the maitre'd who seated us alongside a window with an unobstructed view of the beach in the foreground and the Mediterranean behind that. We'd pre-ordered the special "Menu Nadal," (Christmas menu). For the starter, my wife had the cannelloni with shredded chicken and mushrooms (with pine nuts, arugula and parmesan) and I had the traditional Catalan stew with a rich assortment of meats, vegetables, pasta shells and an amazing broth. Both plates were absolutely outstanding. Our second main course was roasted sea bass (with potatoes and zucchini, a prawn and an amazing sauce). The folks at the next table had the beef confit, which they swore was as good as it gets. The meal was accompanied by a bottle of a very tasty rioja, and topped off with a scrumptious dessert... apple strudel with a vanilla sauce and a scoop of really good pistachio ice cream. ...followed by a second dessert of assorted turrones and wafers. Oh, and a really nice coffee to top it off. Oh, and a "chupito" at the end. My wife went for the Baileys, and I had a very nice Limoncello. In all, we were there for a good 2.5 hours. In all that time, the wait staff was very attentive but not at all obtrusive. Their comportment made me think they were all co-owners whose very livelihood depended upon how WE were treated. I mean, really... these guys made our meal into a truly extraordinary experience. I can't speak about their disco at night but this experience was absolutely FIVE STAR. Way to go! We'll be back!

You pay an entry fee and then get to choose from a variety of beer or cocktails. This list is small but you hand some options. This place photographs very well. It's almost impossible to take a bad picture. It honestly looks better than it is. We enjoyed the room for the first 10 minutes or so to finish our drinks. After that you'll find yourself wanting to leave. They provide jackets and gloves so you don't freeze. But these honestly feel like they are not cleaned/sanitized well. Also when you take off their clothing and go from cold to hot, you'll find yourself feeling sweaty and sticky at the same time. Went to take a shower ASAP. if you don't mind their prices, it's worth checking out once. But don't expect much more than what I described/photoed.

Now, I haven't been to any salsa clubs in Barcelona so I can't really compare, however, we had fun there. The bar had decent prices and the bartenders were able to make some fun cocktails, there was a big dance floor and there was loud music. I say music, I do not specifically say salsa music. The DJ was an interesting one - some of his transitions could be called... interesting... they could also be called "I hit play next track before the old song ended and there is a complete mismatch in styles, tempo, etc". Also the selection of music was a little interesting too, we'd get salsa, bachata, merengue... and then Spice Girls, Back Street Boys, Justin Bieber, pretty much anything popular from the last 3 decades... I guess the club does have to cater to the crowd that goes there. That said, I and my friends had a good time, having a mixture of people both into and against salsa, this seemed to be the best compromise! I had some great dances there (seemingly not with locals, just with other tourists like me!) and a great time!
