The bar (including a very good assortment of rum). Don't miss the Santa Teresa 1796, the Pampero Aniversario and the El Dorado.

Nice local cocktail bar serving a good range of drinks. From dark and stormys to gin tonics and more elaborate vermouth sours. Good decor and nice music. Sunday nights often have jazz.

OMG I'm so glad I found this place..and chose to drink then get on a tour bus…read more 8 minutes walk from our hotel we actually missed this, even though we followed yelp closely. The front was tiny and shaded. Stepping in was like entering a shrine. Silken veils blowed in the breeze, low cream leather chairs with coffee tables lay surrounded by spiritual paintings and windchimes. We were here for the cocktails. A lady handed us a menu, all in Spanish however it was not hard to work out their contents. Especially guided by pictures from previous reviews. We both ordered this passion fruit Buddha which took awhile to make but wow €7 was worth it..it was thick, and full of fresh pineapple and passionfruit with no ice and served in a deep glass, and a smaller accompanying one. Complimentary crisps were also served but we were still full after breakfasting. Looking at the clock we decided to hit one more before our flight. This time I had the samurai (fresh ginger, sake, almond liquor ) and my friend a pina collada.. these were also divine and the kind lady served a little pina collada for me to try. Running out of time I pro-offered this sweet lady with dreads our bottle of Russian vodka so they could utilise this in their cocktails rather than us throw it away. She spoke no English so the owner? who served us previously returned and accepted. This is a ambient , serene place ran by lovely people and who make fresh high quality cocktails..I will be back!!

My wife and I were staying at a nearby hotel. Unfortunately, the area is limited in terms of food…read moreoptions after 7PM. We were getting tired of the usual tapas/tapes offerings found at every restaurant (patatas bravas, croquetas, tortillas, etc.). My wife is also vegetarian, which makes finding a place even tougher. Luckily, while looking around for a place to eat one night, we found La Greca. La Greca serves the standards (tapas, etc), but they also have burgers and veggieburgers. I ordered a cheeseburger, beer and a hard drink. My wife ordered nachos, a veggieburger and a beer. Everything was served quickly and fresh. My cheese burger was delicious. I mean, I was shocked at how good it was: the quality of meat and presentation were what made it so good. My wife liked everything she ordered too. Before we got the check, the owner of the restaurant asked how our meal was. We told him that it was very good--especially since it was different from what we had been eating everywhere else for the past several days. It turns out the owner is from Pakistan/northern India and, as such, we were able to have a full English conversation without using Google Translate. He was very nice and genuinely interested about our thoughts about how the meal was. We got our check and went back to our hotel (at that point it was pretty late...early dinners don't really exist in Spain). Two nights later my wife and I went back to La Greca, as I was craving another one of their burgers. When we got the restaurant, the owner remembered us and asked what we were having. As I started to order my burger, he stopped me and said, "You know, I have a special that's not listed on the menu." He went on to explain that it was a chicken curry dish from the region of Pakistan where he is from. I love curry, so I jumped at the opportunity to order it. He also offered to make a special vegetable curry for my wife. We ordered some drinks and my wife ordered the nachos again. After he brought out the nachos, he also brought both me and my wife two freshly made vegetable samosas. They were, honestly, the best samosas I've had in my life. Shortly after, our curries arrived. Once again, there was no disappointment. My chicken curry was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and the chicken was fresh. My wife also enjoyed her vegetable curry--although, admittedly, it probably wasn't exciting as my chicken. When I ran out of chicken curry (with some basmati rice still left on my plate), the owner kindly asked if I needed more chicken curry for my plate and I happily accepted his offer. I eat a lot of food in a single sitting, so the initial portion was probably enough for the average person, but it was genuinely nice of him to ask (he didn't charge us extra $$ for it either). After we finished, we spoke with the owner some more. He told us that the meats and vegetables are served are purchased daily and there are no leftovers being served and, as a customer, that was apparent from the taste and quality of the meat and vegetables. Although, he did mention many dishes run out quickly because of that. All that said, if you are tired of the standard tapas/tapes (patatas bravas, croquetas, tortillas, etc.) and you're in the Selva de Mar area, definitely check out La Greca--I don't regret it and, hopefully, you won't either.

This was very average food that caused stomach issues the next day. Several other better places to…read moreeat in the area.
