I rarely give 5-star review but I feel Coastal Insurance and their team deserve this recognition…read more Recently I purchased a house and my mortgage broker pushed me to use their insurance company for obvious reason. While the pricing is great, I wanted to compare both the rate and the coverage. I emailed 5 different insurance companies and 4 of them immediately said "we'll get you the same policy for the same money" but only ONE came back to me and said you are not being covered properly and there's conflicting info in the underwriting language. That firm was none other than Coastal Insurance (see attached email). While their policy came back to be $200 more, but their policy also offers substantially more coverage. I would've rather pay the extra money than to leave myself exposed to a potential loss and claim denial b/c I didn't read the fine print. In a society where speed and cheap trumps service and common sense, it's refreshing to see a company that is thorough and didn't "sell me on price and price alone." Just an FYI, they also have an affiliate that provide tax grievance service and have saved me thousands of dollars with my commercial and residential properties.

Matt Zaglin and the people in this office are real and genuinely polite. They go above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel like the most important person in their office. I accidentally found them while searching for car insurance. They offered the most affordable insurance I've paid for in over 30 years of owning cars. They even found a way to lower my rates by adding renters' coverage. I'm retired and no longer able to drive, but I continue to use other insurance services that this office offers. After a decade, my husband and have left this agency. We were generally happy with them, and my…read morehusband really liked Tom and Marty but their agent, Robin Magri made working with them impossible. I added a car to my policy and 6 weeks later I received a letter from DMV saying that my license was suspended. When I called Robin Magri, she stated that I never called her to add it. After I sent her the ID card (which she sent me), she then said that the reason why I received the letter was because my policy was canceled for not paying it. When I verified that my policy was in force (I had to call my company and am on payroll deduction) I called her back and she put me on hold and disconnected me. I then called back again (third time) and told her that I needed my license fixed. She told me to "relax" and put me on hold yet again. Or at least she thought she did. While thinking that she put me on hold, she took a call (apparently from her husband) and told him that she had a "jerk" on the phone and had to go. In reality, she used a highly offensive ethnic slur for a Spanish person. When she picked up the phone, I repeated her conversation to her husband to her. She was never apologized and denied what I heard (I'm a retired cop and know what I heard). I asked to speak with her boss and never got a call back. I don't even think she told them. If she would have apologized, or if I received a call back would not be posting this. Again, we liked the agency, but she made us leave
