She cuts my co-workers hair and that is how I found out about Blanca and her great scissor skills. Blanca cut my hair just like I requested and my hair came out beautiful. My hair felt so good after the haircut. She blew dry my hair and it looks styled and nice. This place is awful - barbers are either to high or to drunk to do their cuts , it's so sad to think that management at this place has aloud this barbershop to become another typical "Chula Vista Barbershop " this used to be a place I recommended until my last visit when I walked in the lady had to find a barber "in the back" he came in with a tall can, rubbing his nose like crazy and stumbling over to us- he asked my 3 boys what we needed and we told him a fade, he looked at us and said , "what is that" - we didn't walk out we RAN OUT ! Sadly we used to be loyal customers . The other location on 3rd and main sadly has also gone down hill since the owners daughter went on maternity leave. First time getting a haircut with my son, so we wanted to look for a barber for both of us. We came to this place, which at first they had no customer attention. No one really greeted us. I then walked myself in all the way inside and I asked if they cut kids hair. Someone else answered something totally different and said, there's someone after the person they're cutting and that after him I'll be next. I waited out by the entrance seats and some girl came up and asked if it was just me getting a cut. I told her it was me and my son and how much will they charge.... They girl then asked me what kind of cut we are getting so I then explained what we wanted- she said 25$ each. Perfect, I asked if they accept card, she said no. I then walked out and grabbed some cash. We were up next, so I let my son go first, I tell the barber how I wanted the cut. He then starts cutting- he seemed a bit nervous so I asked how long he's been cutting, he said 2 years. So I kept telling him the way I wanted my sons hair and he kept giving me responses like: "I know, but this is how I want to cut it, it's going to look great...." Or "it's better this way bc...." Anyways, long story short I had told the barber to leave the front hair long and he messed up my kids hair, he did too much that he messed up the from middle that he had to chop everything up, from a sad happy face to a wanting to cry face my kid had. Not to mention, he cut my hair too and left the fading lines all around- not even close to a fade. And to end the whole thing, they said the cut was $60 for both when that had given me a price already. Poor service, lack of exprience cutting hair and not to mention, blasting music w profanity having young ones inside- not cool. First and last, never coming back and definitely not reccomending this place. read more

I recently went over to this barber shop right after work on a Friday. It was a little busy but they still took care of me as a walk in. Bryan and RJ attended to me right when I walked in and I was out of there in about 30 mins. Prices are good and the haircut came out clean. Great music too. good customer service but terrible barber. someone's grandma just gave me a different cut altogether and had the audacity to charge me over the shop minimum. I showed her pictures and videos, gave an elaborate explanation on top of the reference images and got nothing close to that at all. literally I got a different cut and style altogether because she butchered it the first time. now I have an uneven top and a marine fade. God is real because if I hadn't found Him I would've raged over this cut. read more

Their establishment is top-notch! Its a very nice barber shop that has compressed air to blow the hair off you, hot towels ready to go, and just a very nice clean place. I had an older Mexican woman cut my hair, which she managed to do in between yelling in my ear about how men are worthless and while scraping the skin off my neck and forehead. She also managed to cut me twice along the ear. I didn't notice how bad it was till she put this liquid on my neck that made my skin burn! She started off nice, but by the end I ended up hating her and my haircut is god-awful. I told her it was fine just so i could get the hell out of there. The other stylist noticed I wanted to leave when I said it was fine, they all kind of jokingly murmured to her to leave me alone because I wanted to go. I was the only one there when I got there and 4 other people had their hair cut and where gone by the time she finished with me. There is an amazing woman named Ava. She speaks more Spanish than English, but she and I can communicate well and she always does a wonderful job with my hair for an amazing price! I usually text her to find out her availability in advance. Even with the language barrier she makes me laugh! This is a beautiful clean salon with repeat customers I can tell it's family oriented people are happy and pleased with the work. It's difficult these days to find someone to trust your hair with Eva mentioned to me that she will be leaving to work in a new salon at the end of the month you don't have to tell me twice my GPS will be pointed there! If you've ever had hair services done in TJ you know the TLC you are given and attention to detail that's what you receive here! Prices may be elevated a bit but salons these days have to have numerous TVs music lights mirrors high-end barber chairs Wi-Fi to entice new customers! People do not want overpriced cut and dried cookie cutter Supercuts type of hair care! So, I came here to get a haircut (I have long hair and a beard down to my chest). Young black guy is kinda nervous cutting the hair but tells me he got me on the beard. I tell him don't worry about the hair it'll grow back if he makes a mistake. Hair got cut shorter than I wanted (but I should have went to a salon for that, my fault). I give the guy measurements and not to touch zones (mainly "Do not touch the hair between the cheekbones of my face." I give him a measurement with my fingers. I tell him don't touch the hair beneath. He replies, "you want a goatee?" So, tell him yeah "like a goatee". He goes around and around my face. I'm getting a little worried. I can't see what he's doing. He hands me the mirror.WTF! Well 2 years down the drain. I have this little wisp of hair. This guy is apologetic. Saying, "sorry, sorry". I'm pissed. I get up. So, I ask him how much. This guy charges me $25. All right I've had haircuts that expensive before. I look on their website. Really? Really? I got charged full price for haircut and shave. So I call him back. So, he tells me that I should have asked for a "Thick Goatee"... Fuuuuuh? So I talk to him for a minute. This guy is being reasonable and tells me he can fix it up for free. I guess the manager overheard him and told him to recharge me for anything since it's another transaction and to hang up the phone. Sounds like some old lady yelling at him in the background.
