Originally, we were hoping to have a wine cellar that could accommodate 50 people. There isn't one in Ft. Worth. Then we remembered a fantastic dinner we had at The Bastion not long before. So we called Chef Chandra and asked if she was available to host our party of 50 on a Saturday night. Luckily for us, she was available. We made an appointment to meet with her and discuss our celebration. Chef was very patient and understanding of our wants and desires for our big night. She offered tons of ideas and thoughts about food and all the options we had available to us. Since The Bastion does not have a LWB license, we supplied our own favorite wines which saved us a lot of our budget allowing us to go with a higher end hors d'oeuvre menu. She came up with a perfect menu of hors d'oeuvres that encompassed all our favorite foods. When our big night was upon us, we were beyond excited to celebrate. The waitstaff rotated around our party offering full tray service seamlessly. The night went on perfectly and we couldn't have enjoyed the special day as much anywhere else. It was a rainy night so we couldn't enjoy the patio as much but the inside was quite spacious. They had room for two bars, multiple tables (which sat about 150 people), space for a band and a dance floor. It's definitely a venue to check out for hosting events, weddings, luncheons, parties, etc. We didn't handle any of the planning or coordination for the party but everything seemed to be going smoothly. It is very open and looks like it could be used as a small convention site, huge social function, a bazar, wedding or large party! In fact, there were left over streams that looked like a wedding reception had been held. It seems like an old building but had been recently refurbished/painted. For our event, we were seated at large round tables which means some had to turn their chairs. Although we were only there about 3 hours, the venue worked.

One of my relatives mentioned that she wanted to host a mini family reunion but she needed a venue in the Fort Worth area. After brainstorming with a few other relatives, this venue came up. The venue is fairly new and has already hosted many events, from gospel concerts to weekly church services to other gatherings. There are smaller rooms that can be transformed to accommodate the needs of various groups and there is also the grand ballroom that can be rented for more formal events. The prices are very reasonable (think around $300, that's a steal for 4 hours) and includes tables and chairs. You will have to pay a deposit but if you clean up after your event, you deposit will be returned. In addition to being very spacious on the inside, there is plenty of parking outside as well. This is a great venue and should not be overlooked because of its location.
