Check in was a breeze, and the valet service was quick to greet us, help us unload our bags, and get our car whisked off for parking. The front desk attendant was so quick and offered us some food suggestions while they worked on getting us our room. After taking the elevator up to our floor, we got situated and relaxed a bit before checking out the space. The room was spacious, and included all the amenities we've come to expect from a Hilton property. Everything was clean and well maintained, and thanks to Hilton Honors, we had our complimentary water bottles already in the room. The beds had lovely linens on them, and the pillows were quite fluffy, which is something that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in hotels I feel. The bathroom was also wonderful with a nice deep soaking tub, which I had the pleasure of taking for a spin one evening. The bathroom sink had great water pressure, which gave me a lot of hope for the shower, but the shower just lacked that same oomph.

After my Mom's grueling 2 days of appointments, we were so happy to walk into our lovely, spacious room with the full kitchen. Staff was friendly and attentive. Decent exercise Room. My only real complaint is that there was no auto close on the door. You have to remember to pull it shut. It's large, with a microwave and small refrigerator, a separate living room, and- did I mention the two bathrooms. The Hilton Garden Inn is not new, and the furnishings are a step below IKEA, but it's a Hilton Garden Inn with prices that reflect that branding. This is not an expensive hostelry. I don't think there's an attached restaurant. Breakfast will probably stink, but within a half block are nice restaurants and bars. They even run a shuttle to the Mayo clinics and Mayo buildings. We stayed at the more upscale Hilton. There's no microwave in the rooms at the Hilton Downtown, and the Hilton does not have a 1-bedroom suite. It's also a lot more expensive. I did have one major criticism of the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Rochester: The women at the check-in desk were not welcoming, and they appeared angry. They were the only people I encountered during my times in Rochester who were not warm and helpful. Everyone else in this town is as nice as they can be. A smile can do wonders, even for yourself.

There was a long line to check in and a long wait to get rooms assigned. We finally got in and got our two keys for the two rooms, we dropped our luggage in one room, and left. Of course, the parking garage did not work with our key card, so back we went and waited in line again. The parking access was added and when we came back, neither room key worked. Back down to the lobby to wait in line again. The front desk reissued keys, but when we went back to open the second room, someone else's belongings were inside! At that point they said they would comp our entire stay and moved us into a larger room at the Staybridge Suites connected in the same building. That was the one nice gesture, except it didn't hold up. After we got home, not only was our prepaid stay never comped, we were charged additionally on top of it! I had to call my credit card company to dispute it, and when they tried to reach the hotel directly, they couldn't get through after more than thirty minutes on hold. This was at around 2 PM on a normal weekday. This is a terribly managed hotel with undertrained staff. One employee helping us was on her second or third day; another had just finished her first week. Nobody seemed equipped to handle even basic check-in, let alone the billing disaster that followed. Every step was up to par with what the traditional Hampton Inn experience should be and the reason I look for this brand first. PROS: great pricing.... only a $1 upgrade to get a studio. There's nothing in walking distance but there are plenty of things within a five minute radius drive wise. Staff here was very friendly and it was easy to check in as well. The rooms were cozy, the amenities were also very good too! Breakfast was a hit or miss. Simply because of limited food options. There's plenty of parking here as well as well as a sheltered overhead entrance if you are getting dropped off by a rideshare, etc at the front door. Overall, I was pretty content with my visit. They said they look into it nothing again today for first thing in the morning little after six dog barking again I called Hilton Diamond Desk. They said they would contact the hotel nothing happened if you wanna sleep in at this hotel, I suggest going somewhere else nice hotel other than if traveling with a dog take care of the dog or put a bark collar on it when you leave have consideration for other guests in the hotel
