I gave this place a 5 star because I was able to dispose of my non-working electronics. Thank you

The guys are thieves. I took 51 lbs of crushed cans and they only gave me credit for 22 lbs, this is not the first time they have ripped me off that's why I weoghed before I went to recycle, i eont use menlo again read more

I have given this scrap yard more than a few tries and regret going there every time they pay the worst and this last time is missing item completely . they are rushing you through so you can't tell what there listing your stuff as and by the time you get your paper they have dumped it and you have no chance to contest . No way to do business. Both yard are not worth your time! read more

This is a genuine garbage business. They do not care about you as a customer, and will do their best effort to rip you off as much as possible. Be careful, they have posted hours of 8-5, but not only do they open late, but they close early. That and with the amount of homeless people, I'm surprised they haven't been shut down. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Total rip off on prices & they change what you have to lower paying scrap prices. I had #1 copper tubing they gave me #2 price & gave me chrismas wire price of .05 cents for clean aluminum. Total rip off read more

I went to recycle here and loved how organized it was. The parking lot is huge and the staff are friendly. I didn't realize that recycle locations purchased multiple types of recycled items, I thought it was only cans and bottles. We will come back for sure! read more

We ended up coming to Menlo recycling because we showed up to find that the recycling place on Esplanade in San Jacinto is no longer excepting CRV for bottles, plastics, and aluminum. Menlo recycling is only about a mile away. Lots of space for cars to pull in, and plenty of baskets available to unload recyclables. Line moved pretty quickly. Not sure how the prices are in relation to other places. read more

Friendly people, reminds me a lot of the recycling center in Santa Ana that i went to when I lived in Orange County. I got my money worth here more than any other recycling place In Hemet. Totally not a big deal in grabbing your own bins and sorting out your own cans. I've always done it..... since a child.... till now...... one of the staff happened to be kind and give me a hand which I appreciated the act of kindness. so not sure why people are complaining over something not worth giving the headache. Personally whether or not it's their job to do I find it rude to have them do it and I stand by and watch, like I seen a white woman do and not even sort any out herself.. to each their own. read more

This place is a ripoff! Take your recycle goods somewhere else. I would not recommend this place. Very Rude and they pick and choose what to recycle or not. read more

I got a lot more money than I thought. I was going to from the cans that I recycled. It was overall good experience and they were kind and friendly. read more

Came here to show my boy a little bit about recycling. I loved that he was able to help me sort out and being the ticket up and sign for it. He was a little nervous but was happy in the end to collect his money! read more

Menlo Recycling will rip you off!! Their scales are not calibrated as they should be. They refuse to take liquor and wine bottles. The new law passed Jan 1, 2024 that states glass bottles up to 12oz should return 5 cents per container and up to 24oz should return 10 cents... IF they take your liquor bottles (which they hate to do) they're not got to pay what they should and their going to adjust your weight to pay you less... They are CROOKS read more

This is hands on, you sort your materials into baskets take them to the scales to be weighed they hand you a receipt take it to the cashier and cash out. Don't worry about taking your caps off your water bottles. The people are super nice. read more

Been to several recycling services/centers in the area and now mostly come to this location. They've got competitive prices and what keeps me coming back is the quick turn around time. Beat the lines by going in the morning. read more

I'm without words for what transpired yesterday. My girlfriend took my daughters copper in to recycle. While I was still doing my business my girlfriend was done with my daughters copper. She told me she wasn't going to be happy with what she got. It seems that someone screwed with the pricing. Bright and shiny copper on my receipt was $2.15 a lb. Her receipt said $1.15a lb. This is theft plain and simple. I can't believe they would take advantage of a woman who doesn't know about the system and pricing of various metals but it seems they do. To all the women out there beware of these crooks. They have no integrity or morals to speak of. The aught be ashamed. I'm not done with this yet. I'm still figuring what to do . Needless to say its not right in any way shape or form. read more

This was our first time here, the place was busy but they still managed to move things quickly, very friendly and convenient place to get your recycling done read more

I dunno why all the bad reviews. Its a recycling center not a 5 star hotel. Of course its dirty and sticky. I have never had anything but a pleasant trip to This place. Loading up in a few mins to make a deposit to them. Thanks for the service and dont worry about the haters seeing your always busy! read more

I went to Menlo Recycling several times and I felt cheated. Twice in a row the receipt said my cans and plastics weighed exactly the same. Very odd. So I weigh my cans 14lbs which they said was 11.6lbs and then my plastics which was two of their containers full was 6lbs only? I had weighed 15.4 .I think they only counted one. Look out for what they give you. read more

NO STARS!!! The WORST recycling center I have ever visited! So dirty, trash everywhere. You're actually told to step past safety line in warehouse & get your own baskets because they can't be bothered to pull them out after emptied into larger receptacles. 1 older gentlemen is the only one who really works picking up the slack of the Younger guys on cell phones & joking amongst themselves. No designated cashier, so after waiting in long line to weigh recycles you're left at the mercy of those young jerky guys for one of them to make their way to register. read more

This place is horrible so unorganized it is horrible I suggest not a good place to go just go to staters and even if you had to go to staters and have to pay them the money it was horrible I do not suggest This place at all but I don't ever want to go there again read more

If you want to lose your money go here. I weighed my cans on two scales that I know to be accurate. When I was weighed in it was 2 lbs less. The $$ per puns at the time was $1.63. So I lost over $3 for around 16 lbs. their was at least 20 people there recycling with much more then I that day. A lot of money is being stolen by them not having proper scales. The scale they use isn't designed to accurately weigh light loads. read more

Go anywhere else. These guys are trash (in the right line of work I guess). There are like 5 dudes back there that all look like they wanna fight or something. Thieves as well, watch your weights. This dudes move a line fast but also skim every bin. read more

I called in very respectfully and was hung up on very disrespectfully I have read the other reviews afterwards which really disgusted me one individual said he will call the Better Business Bureaufor a company like this it would really not have too much of an effect but what would have an effect is calling the EPA and the local code enforcement read more

I went to menlo recycle twice, both times the same thing, no hello, no thank you, just attitude. they don't want your business and it shows. if you want to get treated like a bum, this is your place. pro's they pay cash. read more

If it was possible to not give a star I would. this place has to be crooked. Im not only writing this I also contacted the BBB. The staff is rude and they do not properly reimburse for the amount of recycables you take in. read more

Never have had a problem the employee's are very helpful and friendly. And not to long of a wait. I would give 5 stars if they would take competitor coupons off smartphones. Diffenetly recommend to family and friends. read more

Called this morning and spoke with Edwin told me they no longer take cash for cardboard, which I knew was a lie because I've gone and gotten money for cardboard. So I then asked Edwin oh how long has it been since you haven't been giving cash for cardboard. He says oh my boss only gives cash for cardboard sometimes. So if they don't give you can for recycling they lie. Its a $1.00 a pound. They do since shady things here at this recycling center. Zero stars if I could give them read more

Read the reviews before i went to this place but still needed a few extra dollars till pay day. I just filled up one of their buckets with cans and made 40 dollars and was only their 5 min! The guy who payed us out was really nice. Eric i think. I told him we almost didnt come here because of the reviews but was glad we did. Im sorry other ppl had a bad experience here but my experience was wounderful! Will be back read more

This place does not deserve a star at all. The staff was so rude when I had pull their plastic bin outside to load my glass since it was heavy. This guy was so rude telling me no and ignoring me pretending I wasn't there. I had inform him that I needed to come back to get two more bags and I just needed that one plastic for my heavy glass that was falling apart also. He said for me to pull inside and I refused since I have to come back anyways and knowing that the place is small there is no way of getting out but to wait for the others to finish. We had like 8 bags that day in which 7 of them I was willing to drag inside and just borrow their plastic bin for that one heavy glass one and come back while my brother waited with my return for two more bags then pull inside. I will never come back to this rude place and will take my business to the one off of esplanade instead, I least over there they help you unload your cans. Those guys doesn't even do much but driving a forklift back and forth 10 times and sweep read more

I have always had pleasant service from this recycling center and if they are not busy they have even helped me with my recycling barrels

I'm never using this place again. I have been a repeat customer because they usually have the best aluminum prices. The receipt I was given after they weighed my cans said $56.23. After a 10 minute wait at the counter, I was paid out and left because I was annoyed at the complete lack of customer service. When I got home I checked my new receipt and was paid $32.23. Don't get scammed by this shady business and take you recyclables elsewhere. read more
