I was very annoyed at what was promised but not delivered…read more The washing machine is broken, and the receptionist said she wasn't sure when it would be replaced. But we could use the really crummy machine at a sister hostel. You just have to wait in a long line -there is only one, tiny machine. The computer for guests' use is also broken. There are no plans to fix or replace it. The wifi is miserably slow, so we just went to an internet cafe. Two of our friends were so frstrated they checked out two days early. When I went to check out, the receptionist tried to get me to pay for the days they didn't stay. The company they book excursions through is also terrible. We signed up for a day of horse riding. The company got us 4.5 hours late. When we arrived at the ranch, there were only 5 horses for 10 of us. Because it was almost dark, 5 of us didn't ride. But they still didn't want to give us any of our money back. The rooms are ok. Very hot at night, though there is an extremely loud fan in the room. It's about a 15 minute walk from the center of town.

The free WIFI do not reach our room. Great AC. Free computers in lobby. Our bathroom was basically a shower stall. The plaster was crumbling off the walls and the whole bathroom remained wet, squishy, and stinky for our stay. Great location near central plazas. The parades for the Festival de la Vendimia were right on the corner.

The hostel has a great book explaining different activity options in Mendoza and was generally very knowledgeable and helpful. The bathrooms were not abundant, but I never had a problem getting into one and they were generally clean. Best of all was getting to spend time with the most chill cat ever, Ozzy!
