Very nice group of ladies that work there. They have always been respectable to my needs. Much much better than waiting at the pavilion

Now that I'm pregnant I am obliged to getting lab work done. I've gone twice, the very first time, I was so in shock that the nurse had finished taking my blood I didn't even notice. The second time I went I got the same nurse/phlebotomist (Pricila) same experience super friendly, kept me entertained, was quick and gentle with getting my blood lab work completed. No bruising either. I will never go to the pavilion at Adventist Health again as it's never been a good experience. Pricila at Mendocino Radiology is a caring Star! I told my parents to visit her here as she's bilingual. This was saved in my drafts! But i still wanted to post, I hope she's still there, my last visit was six months ago.

I could have been reached before I left home to save two hours of driving. Stuff breaks sometimes. What bothered me most was the perfunctory and insincere apology from someone who didn't introduce themselves or explain who they were. I was handled. Ticked off the person's to-do list. They're busy, I get it. Its a hospital, and they've got sick people to care for. But it wouldn't have taken much to show some care or respect and keep me from going next to a private radiology center for my MRI. Without a lot of imagination, some token gesture would have been appreciated. Its a small community and things are personal here.

I love this radiology center for its…read moreproximity to my home, the ample free parking spaces and most of all, the cordial staff at the center. Truth be told, there is nothing much to love about a CT Scan. The staff was something else. From the schedulers over the phone to the front desk receptionists, the CT techs and the radiologist assistant, they were all amazingly welcoming, polite and helpful. I have been here 3 times in 6 months going under the tunnel or donut. The whole procedure was painless albeit claustrophobic, as I lay there motionless like a corpse and yes, feeling pretty darn bored. Repeated instructions "Take a deep breath, hold it ...... and breathe" weren't exactly mind stimulating and would either drive me nuts or cause me to doze off into never-never land. But I gotta do what I gotta do. Prior to the procedure, I have to gulp down a glass of oral contrast that tasted like a flat 7up with no carbonation. Then I was given an IV and another contrast injected intravenously that warmed up my body, much like imbibing copious quantities of alcohol. Maybe I felt inebriated although I knew I wasn't but I'm such an alcohol wimp! Just so you know, a contrast is a special dye to highlight the areas of your body being examined. Alex was the competent radiologist assistant who piloted the whole procedure and Cathy and Sheri assisted. Kudos to him for doing a fine job and Cathy was very comforting. The Radiologist on duty interpreted the CT results and the CT Scan disc was ready for pick up the next day for my further consultation with the radiation oncologist. This 3rd visit may only be the tip of the iceberg as I can imagine needing many more CT Scans. FYI, if you don't have insurance or Medicare, the 15 min procedure could set you back by $15k ballpark! So it could be life changing to get the procedure pre-approved with no last min surprises. Then you may live longer too!

I had anticipated having to be there for several hrs since it was two unrelated things needing to be done. I Was very appreciative of their quickness to get things done.
