Now that I'm pregnant I am obliged to getting lab work done. I've gone twice, the very first time, I was so in shock that the nurse had finished taking my blood I didn't even notice. The second time I went I got the same nurse/phlebotomist (Pricila) same experience super friendly, kept me entertained, was quick and gentle with getting my blood lab work completed. No bruising either. I will never go to the pavilion at Adventist Health again as it's never been a good experience. Pricila at Mendocino Radiology is a caring Star! I told my parents to visit her here as she's bilingual. This was saved in my drafts! But i still wanted to post, I hope she's still there, my last visit was six months ago.

I could have been reached before I left home to save two hours of driving. Stuff breaks sometimes. What bothered me most was the perfunctory and insincere apology from someone who didn't introduce themselves or explain who they were. I was handled. Ticked off the person's to-do list. They're busy, I get it. Its a hospital, and they've got sick people to care for. But it wouldn't have taken much to show some care or respect and keep me from going next to a private radiology center for my MRI. Without a lot of imagination, some token gesture would have been appreciated. Its a small community and things are personal here.

Before I had a mammogram at HALO I lived elsewhere and had to have a mammogram every 6 months…read morefollowed by a letter saying I have dense breast tissue and had to return for an ultrasound or magnification. I feel that the quality of the staff and equipment HALO has makes it possible for me to go back to annual appts and no more false positive results. Sometimes I would have to have extra pictures to determine if something was suspect on one of my results. Now I'm in and out and no issues. IMHO I feel the results HALO sees are much clearer than any other lab I've been to.

I had no temperature; he knew that. The quality care nurse called me and was nice, but she backed his decision basically. My…read morefirst ever mammogram...my technician had long auburn hair, straight with some ringlet curls and a fancy barrette (very young). She literally slammed the paddle down against my breast and walked away. Way harder than was necessary. The compression was so painful, I felt like I was going to pass out. i understand that flattening the breast is important. Tried to endure it. When she got to my second breast, another technician took over. Maybe she saw what was going on. The first technician then literally leaned against the wall and watched my breast being compressed by the second technician. Did she enjoy watching that for some reason?? Did she have nothing else to do?? I realized days later that I had been assaulted. Now I have panic attacks and am experiencing trauma. Am having difficulty sleeping. Going to meet with a lawyer tomorrow. Perhaps there are some good people in this department, but it is completely ruined by the presence of the technician I had. She absolutely needs to find another job. It's obvious she doesn't care. What in the world would make me ever want to get a second mammogram?????

I had anticipated having to be there for several hrs since it was two unrelated things needing to be done. I Was very appreciative of their quickness to get things done.

Best mammogram and ultrasound experience I've ever had!…read more The level of professionalism is exceptional and the spa-like experience made me want to stay for the afternoon. I had to change my appointment at the last minute and they were very accommodating and flexible to meet my needs. When I arrived, the place was beautiful, light and clean. I was led to a private changing room and was offered a plush bathrobe instead of a paper or clinical gown. The soft sound of a small fountain nearby made me feel like I was in a spa. The technician was very sweet, explained everything in detail and was very professional. I had a mammogram and and breast ultrasound. The entire experience was truly the best I ever had for these procedures and will not go anywhere else in the future!
