I was seen on Wednesday for a sore throat and ear ache. Then discovered I had a kidney issue as well. Sure enough I needed to be seen and was put on antibiotics. I was in and out in under an hour. It would have been less if there wasn't a woman there before me, monopolizing the front office girls time over a billing issue. I felt so bad for the employee. I was seen within 10 min of submitting my paperwork. Raul took me back and as usual, he was as kind as he could be. I was so happy that Demi was once again my provider. She's awesome. Listens to all your issues, does her exam, explains what is happening and then will double check to.make sure you don't have any other questions and that you understand everything. This is such a well kept secret and I hope it stays that way. In and out quickly, along with how professional everyone is, this place is a total win win. Sent me a giant bill because they didn't send it to my insurance. Try calling their billing department, straight to voicemail all day everyday. Did not call back within the promised 24 to 72 hours. Also got first appt of the day, still had to wait 45 mins to be seen. Had appointment with all information inputted ahead of time. I have no complaints about the doctor -- the appointment itself was fine. However, this is now the second time there has been a serious issue with the medication prescription. Previously, I brought my son, and now it happened to me. In both cases, someone on the staff made a mistake and sent the prescription to the wrong location. I currently have an ear infection, and for the second day in a row I am feeling worse because I cannot get my medication. I have left voice messages and managed to reach the office a few times, but none of the administrators have called me back or informed me where my medication is. Phone doesn't even ring, they don't return the voice mails and they don't respond to emails. I have a simple billing issue and I cannot get a hold of them and it's been a week!!! I f******g hate this place. Literally nothing urgent. They "open" at 8 but it's just reception and it's closer to 9 before even the first patient is seen. Zero communication from staff. Even when you get into a room you're waiting for the doctor to catch up on everyone that's built up waiting. Today I left after an hour even though we were 3rd in line. Go to the urgent care at providence st Joseph's. The facility is 100x nicer and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes. I love the providers. They accept my son's medi-cal. It seems that how quickly you're seen depends on what time you arrive. Last time I was here I came right when they opened and was in and out in about 45 minutes. This time I arrived a little before 3pm on a Tuesday, there were already about half a dozen people ahead of me, and this time I was in and out in about 2 hours. The receptionist was quick to greet me and get paperwork and copay going, but after that it took a while before I was called in and that was just to ask about my symptoms and get the regular check up on temperature, blood pressure, etc. After that, it was another wait for the doctor herself. I ended up laying down on the bed until she arrived. During the exam, she would say out loud what she was seeing and since some of it was in medical jargon, I think the machine she rolled in with might have been recording what she was saying. When it came time for her to tell me what medications she was going to give me, I asked if I could use what I had instead since I had already bought some to try and alleviate my symptoms on my own. I'm not sure if she started talking louder so that the machine (if it actually was recording her) could hear that I was personally choosing to refuse some of her meds, or if she was getting frustrated with me for refusing in the first place. Either way, it was a much different experience from last time, but I still prefer it to my regular physician since it's walk-ins only, close to home, new, clean and modern. I just know now that, if possible, I should try to arrive when they open instead. read more

Not sure what her name is, she was wearing a pink lulu lemon jacket with a badge stating "I'm not the nurse!". I didn't want her to check my temp orally because the thermometer looked dirty. I went to this urgent care for myself as well as took my children for different reasons. We're extremely happy with this urgent care. They were able to precisely identify the causes of our problems and prescribe the right medication. All the staff is very polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. The nurse practitioner also takes her time to call you in couple of days to check on your situation. Overall, very happy with this place! read more

Visited at 8 am, as soon as they opened and the facility was filthy! Public bathroom and lobby hadn't been cleaned. Private rooms also had left over trash and containers that hadn't been emptied. Front staff were nice and attentive. However, the provider was late and refused to treat my condition. The approach was very "take 2 of these and call me in the morning". It has been 3 weeks and I still have the same condition, after provider said it would "go away". Would choose another facility for better care and actual treatment. read more

Terribly run urgent care. Came in for a PCR with 3 other folks in the waiting room. Wasn't told how long the wait would be. Been sitting for over an hour and when asked how long it would be, was said it was about an hour. There seems to be about 6 nurses on duty but no one has been called back or seen. People came in after me and it's apparently it's a 2-3 hour wait to be seen. No communication and it seems there isn't even a doctor on duty with how no one has left the office since I arrived. read more

This place is a nightmare. As you can see in the attached picture, there was nobody at the reception and no other patients, yet I had to wait for 2 hours. I went in for one issue and ended up with several more. The staff, particularly Julie, is rude and acts superior. After waiting for 2 hours, I finally saw the doctor, who seemed too elderly to perform her duties effectively. She even asked me what medication she should prescribe! While I was explaining, was cut off and she then asked for my height and weight. After she administered the COVID-19 nasal swab, she asked me if I had any questions for her. I asked her what I can do to help myself get well and prevent myself from getting worse. She then said, the doctor will go over that with you. Waited about 2 min. Doctor stood in the doorway and told me if I wanted my results, to email them. If they call me, I'm positive, if they don't, I'm most likely negative. I walked in with my son and daughter to be seen. There was something wrong with my son's insurance, so we said ok to paying out of cash to be seen. The doctor then sent the medical assistant to let us know that in order for us to be able to have her walk into the room to be assessed, she needed to have a COVID test done and the charge for that would be about $120- just for a test. We asked if we could skip the test- and the medical assistant told us that the doctor would refuse to see my son. If he were to be positive for COVID- that she would just talk to us from the door. The reason for this was because she didn't want to get COVID herself. Wow!!! I cannot imagine if instead of being a doctor- she would've gone for a career to be a firefighter. My husband sliced his hand open last night and was gushing blood and clearly needed stitches. We frantically ran over to the closest urgent care to our home to get him medical care and when we walked in and showed them that he was *actively* bleeding through the towels we had wrapped around his hand THEY TURNED US AWAY. They don't accept my husbands health insurance and refused to help a human who was actively bleeding. BUT they did google the next closest center which they found out was closed and said 'well, you can always go to the emergency room'. It's not like we were there for the sniffles, it was an active real active emergency and Mend 'Urgent Care' just sent us away without even taking a look at anything beyond my husbands insurance card while he was dripping blood on their floor. If someone shows up at your medical facility and is actively losing blood, it is a moral and ethical responsibility to help them, not send them away because their insurance doesn't have a contract with you. read more
