I called Menard's today, selected the department I wanted and my call was immediately answered! No waiting ages and ages for a store associate like at Home Depot. The Menard's associate was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'll be heading there Saturday to pick up my purchases. Thanks, Menard's! read more

This is a new store, so there are kinks that need worked out, but this place is AMAZING. It is extremely organized in its presentation of its merchandise and they offer a vast array of selections. They have had amazing sales, some of which do require an additional rebate, but definitely not all of them, like a previous reviewer stated. Plus, the rebates are worth the 5 minutes it takes to mail them in and I HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED MY REBATE in a timely manner. We have already purchased several things for our home from this store and we will definitely be purchasing in the future. Home Depot and Lowe's definitely have competition now!! As to to the reviewer who talked about the flooring they bought being bowed, WHY would you start to lay it down In the first place and then complain that you would have to pick it up and return it ? They said they would refund the money, that's all any store could do. Give this place a try, it's worth the visit. read more

If zero or negative stars was an option they would get the worst score possible. I purchased a special order pole building and my entire experience was an absolute nightmare. They took my money with a smile, but when it came time to take delivery, they screwed up just about every aspect of my order. My POLE building didn't include the POLES as part of their kit! I had to pay almost $2000 out of pocket for 18 6x6x22' posts. I spent hours and hours on the phone with the building materials manager complaining about the ridiculousness of the situation, only to be offered zero solutions. That was their biggest screw up of my project so far, but their have been many others along the way. Their special orders department is a dumpster fire. They WILL screw up your order. My roof needed 6 10 foot long ridge caps, and they sent (and charged me for) 60! It took me 4 hours and a full tank of gas to load up and return their mistake. Associate employees that I would speak with would tell me how poorly run their store is, and that the managers routinely blow off customer complaints. My project is already nearly $3000 over budget and it is 100% due to MENARDS MISTAKES! If my pole building wasn't already halfway built, I would return every last item I purchased and never give them another penny as long as I live. I have all the paperwork to prove everything I just stated, I welcome anyone to message me about my situation. I could talk all day about how terrible this company is. I truely hope this review goes viral, so that no one makes the same mistake I did. read more

Beware of false advertising. Rebates are given easily on smaller items but when it comes to big ticket items, you have to fight for it and you still lose. We bought $3000 worth of lumber after the lumber manager said we would get the 11% rebate and all signs including the outside one at the street also advertised 11% on EVERYTHING. Will not shop there again. read more

I loved Menards at first. Good prices and plenty of help. Until I ordered an item online and wanted to return it. They charge a 25% restocking fee even if the item is unused and in the box. This is pure out and out greed. When checking, I found that they are not a Better Business Bureau accredited company. That says it all!!! I want nothing to do with Menards ever again. They may have screwed me out of 25% on my last purchase but that is just what it is, my last purchase from Menards. read more

I ordered a drain pipe on-line to be shipped to the store and delivered to my home, because it isn't a stock item, well it took several weeks before my order was shipped to the store, but when it came in I called down to set up delivery to my home. They couldn't find the item, so they had to call me back the next day. Now they did find it so we set up delivery, I had the trench dug and was ready on the day of delivery, when they called and told me that someone sold my drain pipe, which granted isn't a stock item! So how they have to reorder this item again and it takes several more weeks to come in, so I decided to add a couple more items to the delivery. So I order these items and set it up to be added to the delivery! A couple more weeks go by and one of the orders comes in but the others haven't. So I get a call that because I didn't pick up the items that came in they were canceling that order and refunding my money! By how I'm absolutely flipping out, I can't believe the total incompetence of this system, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing! So now we get this all set back up again and I'm now waiting for delivery! I was told that the truck was loaded and is on the way, hopefully everything will be on the truck? But I'm not very confident that it will be! This whole process was started in May and it took until July to finally get this drain pipe delivered! After this fiasco I can't honestly recommend this store to anyone! read more
