This was my first visit to Mojo Burger. I had seen so many glowing reviews, I had to give them a try. The fact that they grind their own blend of beef (sirloin, brisket, and Angus) was appealing. And they use locally grown and produced food was definitely a plus. My son and I walked in on Tuesday afternoon to an almost empty slightly warm restaurant. I would guess most get had gotten their food to go because of the heat. We looked over the menu which is posted behind the counter on a huge chalkboard. They offer appetizers, burgers, sliders, a few dessert choices, and '"Sammie's." Everything looked so appealing it was hard to decide. The young lady behind the counter assisted with my choices by running down the ingredients in each burger (though they are also listed clearly on the menu board). I ultimately chose the Super Burger ( two patties, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onion, chipotle Aoli, Gouda and mustard on a soft bun), Mojo fries (seasoned fries topped with Gouda, a chorizo gravy, and their signature candied bacon), and Elvis dippers (Nutter Butter cookies with a slice of banana in the middle deep fried, rolled in cinnamon and sugar and dusted with powdered sugar. It's served with a butterscotch dip ). My son, being picky, wanted something from another restaurant. We sat down to wait on my food. As I looked around at the strangely placed art that seemed not to match the decor, I noticed each piece had a price take placed on the wall beside it. The owners really believe in supporting local farms, businesses, and artists. Cool! After a short wait my food was delivered to our table piping hot and smelling delish. First, the fries. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The mix of slightly sweet bacon, cheese, and the chorizo gravy was different. After the first four bites, I was over it. It did peak my son's interest. He ate all that was left of the fries. I looked over the burger. It was a masterpiece crafted with care. Everything on the Super Burger worked well together. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had outside of home. The chipotle Aoli was slightly spicy but the heat grew slowly as I ate my burger. It was so big I only ate half (gotta save room for my dippers). I guess the young lady behind the counter must have been watching me because a short time later my dippers arrived fresh and hot. Honestly, the dippers were the highlight of the whole experience. They were sweet but not too sweet. The bananas were still slightly firm and the coating crispy. They were a combination of everything sweet I love (peanut butter, bananas, and butterscotch). They were divine. I will definitely be back and suggest all burger lovers try Mojo Burger. They also gave me more fries than I could eat. My wife had the Chik Sammie, which was also super good. She could only eat half. Found this little place on yelp as we were passing through Memphis. The workers were very friendly, Happy and eager to please. We wanted a taste of the South and got it. Ordered the FRIED catfish sandwich with coleslaw. It was large enough to split along with an order of onion rings... Have never seen an order of Orings for $2.00. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. SLOOOOW service! I walk in and there is a couple ahead of me. The girl taking orders tells them to wait, she has to do something. A minute later she comes back. The couple then starts talking to one of the cooks. The girl starts chatting with them too. She finally decides to take the order, while still chatting. Meanwhile I'm still standing there. I went today with my family to Memphis Mojo cafe. There weren't any other customers when we arrived. We must have shown up after the lunch rush. I ordered the shroom swiss burger and the uh-oh's. They made my burger exactly as I asked and it was amazing. I have to say it was one of the most delicious burgers I have ever had. I'm usually a slow eater but I finished my burger before my husband finished his. That is saying something about how great it was. The uh-oh's are fried oreos. I've only had them once before at a festival. They were pretty good as well. I shared them with my husband. We were very happy we came! The staff was super friendly! They made us feel like we were visiting friends. It's a family run business and Sam went out of his way to explain to me what would work with my gluten free diet and what we would like to eat. The Fried pickles were a hit (those were not gluten free) amazing cilantro dill dip! Came in from Little Rock to shop at IKEA. Saw this place and wanted to try it out. I ordered the mojo burger with onion rings. The burger was cooked medium perfectly and the onion rings has to be my favorite. They were so good, crunchy, and seasoned very well. Onion rings can be very wet and soggy but the batter kept them very crisp and tasty. Would definitely have to come back on our next Memphis trip. read more

I will have to admit, for my personal taste, the smoked burger just had a little too much going on and seemed heavy on the sauce. The burger patty in particular was fantastic. The bun was great. The candied bacon was pretty good, the cheese was good, and the sauce had a great taste, it just seemed to me to be too much sauce on my burger. We had driven by this restaurant so many times, but didn't know what it was. Today, I looked up the reviews out of curiosity, and I was surprised to see they were so positive. What can I say? I loved it. It's not Huey's (my favorite Memphis burger), but we were happy with the service, price, and the delicious food! The candied bacon was worth the visit all by itself. My husband and I got the Smoked Burger combo, and it convinced me that I've been deprived of chipotle aioli and smoked Gouda in perfect pairing with candied bacon my whole life. The seasoned fries were not overly seasoned and cooked to perfection: crunchy and not greasy. The service was exceptional, and the business is extremely family friendly (which we love). The prices are also very fair. We will definitely add this restaurant to our list of favorites. Please don't let the outside fool you! This place has the mojo! Very friendly and damn good burgers. I got the Gilmore and the meat was great. It had a nice char and crust on the outside and the inside was pink and juicy. The tots seem to have the same seasoning as the burger. Good tots and onion rings. I also got the Uh-Ohs which were 4 fried Oreos - regular, mint, red velvet, and golden. They were really tasty too. Loved the burger! The patties are on the thin side as is the bun and I like that. The corn bites were amazing. My husband got a burger and tots and there were enough tater tots for a family of 4. I got a burger and fries and the fries were in an equally large portion to the tots. We also got Corn bites as an appetizer and we could only eat 1/2 of the corn bites and only a couple of fries and tots.
