UNRELIABLE.They should close their service to the public and focus on productions. I went there to transfer two Hi8 tapes to DVD. Day 1: Monday. Got there at 12:30 and there was a hand-written sign on the door saying "Back in 20 minutes"... it was more than 40. They charged me extra because this was a rush job (understandable) and said they would call me within a week. Day 2: Since they didn't call me I called them to find out and no one answered the phone. It was only 3:30 p.m. but they later told me they had to close the store early because they had a production that day. No answering machine or anything. Day 3: Went there to pick up the tapes and DVDs. When I got back to my office, I found out that one of the DVDs was empty (or 'unfinished', as they said), so I had to drive back for them to finish the DVD. They didn't apologize or anything, it seemed like they were doing me a favor. SUGGESTION: If you don't need your tapes transferred to DVDs in less than 3 weeks, you're better off going to Walmart (some have Photo lab); they will do the job for less and at least you have a serious company to back the service in case something goes wrong. read more

Memory Factory did a great job restoring my old VHS tapes to digital. I brought them old tapes from high school, and now I can watch them again. The service was outstanding and the people were very friendly. It didn't take long for them to know exactly what I wanted and they delivered a perfect product. I only wish I went in sooner so I could have been enjoying these tapes earlier. While there I saw some other work they do, such as restoring old photographs - very impressive. Good work, horrible follow up, mediocre customer service. Dropped off a picture for restoration in November and was told the holidays would be busy and I was OK with that. I was also told that they would call me to give me an estimated date of completion. The holidays came and went and it wasn't until February when I decided to call,, at which time they said the person working on it would get back to me. He didn't, so I called again. I finally got an email and was told that it was done and asked how I want it; actual picture, or digital copy I replied.... No answer.I called and was told once again the person working on it will call me back in half an hour. Nothing. I called back again I was told it's ready come get it. The picture looks awesome however just not the type of experience I was hoping for. read more

I worked in television for 7 years, so I know this business. I'm only half way thru their process, but I already love it. I had four Super 8 film reels from 1974. When I worked at the station, I would ask all the television engineers where I could get them transferred. I could never get an answer. I found out about these guys on Groupon and I couldn't believe what they offer and their prices. Great stuff. read more

They are the worst. I dropped off all my VHS tapes to be transferred to DVD's. Each of my VHS tapes were labelled. They combined a bunch of VHS tapes onto DVD's and I have 5-6 DVD's all labelled the same. Now years later, trying to view them to get clips for my daughter's wedding, I have to go through ALL the DVD's to find what I want. So annoying. read more

I called twice to speak with a manager and left my name and number both times. I never got a call back that day, the following day or the day after. I had to call again to get her on the phone. Why is returning a phone call so hard? I believe that a good company starts with good management. read more

Couldn't be happier with my experience. Dropped by with an old family vacation video in VHS format (circa 1988), and they were able to convert it to a DVD quickly, and without any issues. I highly recommend this company, and would trust them again with any of my treasured family films. It was such an emotional experience to watch the footage for the first time in over 12 years (when I last had a VCR). The sound and quality was unaffected by the transfer. i took some 8 mm home movies from 1957-1967 that we found in our garage from my mother in laws estate and I had them put on dvds for my husband and his sisters for christmas. I brought in some photos for a memorial that i needed asap, they were to put together a wonderful Montage in just days! Great fast service.

These guys are really good at that they do. They did my sons Highschool Football Highlight video. We gave it to him as a birthday gift and he loved it. Also used them to do the video of our daughters sweet 16. The were professional and fast on that turn around as well. Never met the owner but the 2 guys I worked with were young and very accommodating. Didn't really know what I was walking into but the process was quite simple and very affordable. It took 2 weeks and a callback from me to check up on my transfers. The equipment used looks like it's 40 years old. The video quality is TERRIBLE, any sort of enhancement costs extra, then I was charged for a longer transfer than it actually was and was just given cash back because they could not figure out how to refund me (only after I brought it up). I was told to buy a usb from them or bring mine, only to find out "regular" usb's take an hour to transfer info to. I could have easily brought my hard drive, saved money and time but was never told it was an option. Seems like very lazy staff. read more

We were given a quote for restoring an old 3"x5" family photo. We were told it would be ready in 2 weeks. When I picked up the photo I noticed it had a couple of spots on the pants that looked inappropriate (light pants w/dark spots). I asked to have the spots removed but they told me it would cost an extra hour's worth of work because they had already spent extra time on the photo that they did not charge me for so if I wanted those spots removed I had to pay for the extra time. I would have appreciated the extra work they did if they had left spots on the furniture instead of on a person. And I would not be writing a poor review if it wasn't for the way I was treated when I made the request - no apology, not even an appearance that they wanted to help me. Instead, I was told that I should have specified which spots I wanted removed. I was told that I should be thankful they removed what they did and didn't charge the extra time and I was even told the photo looked fine. I was told if I wanted my photo to look like the one they advertised it would cost hundreds of dollars so I'm getting basically what I'm paying for. Bottom line is they gave me a lower price up front and if I wanted what I expected I would have to pay more in the end. They didn't call me to let me know. Instead they waited until the moment I picked up the photo when I noticed and complained. So, either they felt a photo with spots on a woman's pants was okay to be presented at a wedding table OR they expected I would pay more in the end because I had no time to take it anywhere else. Either way, this experience was disappointing, misleading, belittling, and disingenuous. read more
