Marisa Leigh is an extraordinary photographer who is more than a visual storyteller, she has a gift…read moreof looking beyond what is visible to free that who I truly am. She created images that tell the story of me that I didn't even know existed. Through inquiry, she helped me find the "why" of starting my new journey of publishing a children's book so I can meet the challenges that will follow. Marisa chose just the right questions and interpreted my answers with clarity to allow me to see who I really am, not just who I thought the world should see. She encouraged me to take the mask off that experiences had put on me and gave me the opportunity to be who I was created to be. She is the embodiment of a quote in my story, she saw me "with eyes of love" so I could see my publishing journey the same way. Marisa did not "market" me or my book, she supported me in defining the way I choose to enter the world and change it. There is no greater success than that. It was especially helpful that they spoke both Cantonese and Mandarin, which made communicating with my parents-in-law so much easier. Even more impressively, they somehow managed to get my cranky 9-month-old engaged and smiling throughout the session! And of course, the photos were absolutely stunning. The perfect finishing touch to an already wonderful experience. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and will definitely be booking Dave and Florence again. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for talented photographers who truly know how to make the experience enjoyable for the whole family.
