had a procedure at the Memorial West Same Day Surgery Center. This is the center Dr Nancy Erikson uses. I arrived and honestly can't say one bad thing about this facility. First, it's busy, many doctors trust and use this facility and I see why: You are greeted by the sweetest front desk staff. Next a wonderful lady named Honey checked me in. When you get into the back their entire team is nice , efficient, but above all caring. The anesthesiologist was so so patient and compassionate about my concerns. She was truly a gem. Every person who works here that I encountered from start to finish was amazing. The care, cleanliness, and overall kind atmosphere is not what I have experienced at other facilities. I was in such great hands here and a huge thank you to all. It's obvious that this place is run correctly and that the nurses, doctors and pretty much everyone you encounter is just nice. I had my Colonoscopy procedure done at Memorial Same Day Surgery Center on January 6th 2023. I have to say it was a pleasant experience from the time I walked in to the time of discharge from the facility. I want to thank Dr. Howard Baikovitz for performing my procedure well. I would recommend him always for anyone needing to have this procedure done. He is an excellent Gastroenterologist!!! I was scheduled for a colonoscopy by Dr. Snow's office. This specific procedure was nerve racking just the thought of well you know. The day of the proc everything went so smoothly thanks to nurse Carmen. She was so nice, soft spoken, and very attentive. Nurse Omar made his way to me to introduce himself and explained he will be with me during my proc. Can i just say how AMAZING he was with my care, needs, and questions. I today I dropped my dad off for his cataract surgery. The way it works is that you wait outside the office. A nurse with mask and gloves comes outside with a machine and checks the patients temperature. She then asks a few questions an let's the patient in only. The process is quick and professional. There is a little waiting room inside. The nurse was friendly and nice. To me that is very important. My dad is older and gets a little loopy with the anesthesia. I was able to explain to her. She listen to me and seemed to care. I had a bad experience here last time I came for the same reason. My dad had his other eye operated a few month ago. The nurse at the door acted as if she was in a great hurry and did not want to listen to concerns. My dad is a grumpy old guy lol. Who likes to be right and tell younger people what to do. If you add scared and disoriented to the pot, yes it can be a problem. I was worried I was going to get a phone call telling me they had to knocked him out because he was too much lol. So I felt a warning is necessary. This nurse listened. She took my number. That made me feel really good and comfortable. My dad's cataract surgery was estimated to take an hour, that is what the nurse told me at the door. "We will call you" It took around four hours. They neglected to tell me that they take a few extra hours for what ever. FYI add a few hours to what ever they tell you. Because they told me an hour. I waited in the parking lot. Not a good idea. It was really hot and it was not an hour wait. Go home and come back when they call you. My dad was extremely happy and pleased with the job they did on him. He would not stop talking about it. I think they gave him something. If so he must of been fun to be around lol. He was an unexpected surprisingly a joy to be around after the surgery when I picked him up...thank you read more

Memorial Same Day Surgical Center enclosed a post card with my discharge information thanking me for the privilege of providing me with my surgical care. But I feel that I should be thanking them!! My scheduled lateral ankle stabilization procedure was took place on June 25th. From the moment that my daughter dropped me off to the moment that I was discharged, I felt that the entire staff, from administrative to medical had my back. They went out of their way to make me feel supported and informed. They are professionals that care about the patient as a person, rare these days. On Dec 3rd I went in for a procedure. I must say the staff was wonderful. From the nurse who greeted me at the door, to Honey who took all of my info, they couldn't be nicer. I want to also Thank the nurses and staff who were so wonderful and made me feel extremely comfortable, they were Helen, Jennifer, K.D. & Khary. The idea of a same day surgery or procedure is never fun. Thankfully, Memorial Same Day Surgery Center made my experience as painless as possible. There is only free valet parking. The attendant will check to make sure your name is on the list for the day. Upon entering the waiting room I was called to the front desk within minutes to get my paperwork to fill out. Soon after I was called for registration. All of the ladies who helped me were efficient and sweet. I was then immediately called for preop! Throughout the entire process the nurses and staff could not have been nicer. After the procedure I was given ample time to rest, a snack, and I was on my way. I think everything took about 2- 2 1/2hours from start to finish. I have never seen any medical office work so efficiently, with so little wait time. We do not always have choices regarding where we have medical procedures done, but if I do in the future, I would not hesitate to return to Memorial Same Day Surgery. read more

Used this facility for my daughters tonsillectomy back in February. I ran in today for a billing question! They were just as nice months later as the day she had surgery. Worst facility ever. They have no where to sit for back pain. They make u come 2 hours early. Then they lie and say they aren't running late and they/ Are. No where to lock up personal belongings l. I had surgery yesterday and cannot say enough positive things about the staff at this facility. Followed Covid-19 precautions to the letter and made me feel safe. Everyone from the greeter, the registration folks, the nurses and doctors made me feel comfortable and treated me as a valued patient. Dr Nguyen gave me the most extensive pre-op anesthesia consult I have ever had through numerous surgeries in the past. The nurses were always asking if my needs were being met - was I warm enough; need my bed position changed; etc, and after surgery offered a variety of snacks. It actually began prior to the day of surgery with contact from the center collecting all the necessary information. Great place and I would never hesitate to have another surgery there. read more

Memorial Same Day Surgery made me feel as comfortable as they could. Starting by the receptionist and the admissions lady, they explained to me every step of the process. Once in the pre op area, my nurses were amazing and very diligent with their work. Anesthesia came and talked to me, I was very nervous about being intubated, but they answered all my questions and made me feel reassured. I don't remember anything of the procedure, but when I woke up I was in a lot of pain. The nurse noticed and gave me pain medication. They were very nice with my mom, who accompanied me to the procedure, and gave her my discharge instructions. I am glad I went there, recommend it 100 percent. read more
