At that time, she was reading at a first-grade level. After just two years in their program, she is now reading at a fourth-grade level, only one year behind her grade. The growth we've seen has been truly remarkable. We feel confident that the school is not only supporting her academically, but also teaching her in a way that works best for how she learns with dyslexia. Beyond academics, her confidence has grown tremendously. She now enjoys reading chapter books, something we once struggled to imagine. We are so proud of her hard work, as well as the dedication and support from the school. If your child has a learning disability and needs additional academic support, I would highly recommend this school. You won't regret your decision.

From the moment I stepped through its doors, I felt a sense of belonging and excitement that carried me through all three years. Spring Forest isn't just a school; it's a vibrant community where students are encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and personally. The teachers at Spring Forest are truly the heart of the school. They are not just educators, but passionate mentors who genuinely care about their students' success. I remember countless times when teachers would stay after hours to offer extra help, provide insightful feedback, or simply lend an ear. Their dedication made even the most challenging subjects feel approachable and engaging. The curriculum itself was well-rounded, offering a fantastic blend of core subjects and enriching electives that allowed me to explore new interests, from robotics to creative writing. Beyond the classroom, Spring Forest fostered an incredibly supportive and inclusive environment. There were so many opportunities to get involved, whether it was through the diverse range of clubs, the competitive sports teams, or the lively performing arts programs. These activities not only helped me discover new talents but also allowed me to forge lasting friendships with peers who shared my interests. The school leadership also deserves immense credit for creating a safe and respectful atmosphere where every student felt valued and heard. The facilities were always well-maintained, providing a comfortable and conducive learning environment. From the well-stocked library to the modern science labs, Spring Forest provided all the resources necessary for a comprehensive education. Looking back, Spring Forest Middle School prepared me incredibly well for high school and beyond. It instilled in me a love for learning, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to pursue my goals. I wholeheartedly recommend Spring Forest Middle School to any parent looking for a nurturing, challenging, and truly exceptional educational experience for their child. It's a place where memories are made, and futures are shaped. And who could forget the time we discovered an endangered leopard casually lounging in the bathroom sink during the annual science fair? It was certainly an unexpected, yet memorable, addition to the school's already rich tapestry of experiences, reminding us that at Spring Forest, you truly never know what amazing discovery awaits around the next corner. Lastly, I wanted to say that the used condom stuck to the paper towel dispenser in the C hall boys bathroom did NOT taste good. It tasted like sour milk and reproductive fluids. Not only this, but im 99% sure somebody had intercourse in that bathroom. PS - I was so desperate for food that I ate the condom

Even though the school year hasn't started we have gone to The Village School many times(where we have enrolled our precious baby girl) and so far we are tremendously IMPRESSED! Heck, last week we attended 3 different sessions about how the school operates and in the very first session there was a topic discussed on how they expect KINDNESS for other students! Grace should definitely practice this and even teach this in their classrooms! Sincerely yours, GWS

Before being placed in the school, the child must go through a battery of tests - the most important is the I.Q. test on which the student must score 135 or above. If you make it through the screening, you must then apply for consideration to be accepted to the school and pay your $75 fee. If there's a spot, you'd better not second guess your commitment to Rainard because there is a non-refundable reservation fee of $800. At the time we checked into the program, there was no high school. We were concerned about what happens to a child coming up in this sheltered environment then going into a larger public or private school for the last few years of basic education. Now they have implemented a high school and those problems are solved for those attending. The small campus is sweet and certainly an alternative style of teaching but of all of the campuses we investigated, this was among the priciest. We'd heard bad things about it from people that had placed their children here then opted to put them back in public school or another nearby private institution. In the end, we decided the risk was too great for us - it was a very difficult decision but since we got so much bad word of mouth, we backed out of the admissions process. But, if you're looking for some out of the ordinary summer programs, Rainard is among the best on the West Side. Their Summer Incitement Series offers a variety of non-traditional learning experiences that are great for any child.
