I have been dying to come here! Memento Mori is Latin for remember death. The Haunted Mansion is my favorite Disney ride and this store sells all of the Haunted Mansion merchandise, some of which can't be found anywhere else. It is in the home of the former Yankee Trader. Opened in 2014 the Disney story behind this shop is that it was the home of Madame Leota. She has disappeared but if you pay a visit you might catch sight of her. While you shop keep an eye out for her ghostly presence around the store. On this visit I purchased the Ghost Host apron. The only other place I have seen it available was at Centerpiece in the Co-Op at Disney Springs. I am eyeing the Haunted Mansion magic bands for next time. Other items you can purchase include clothing, accessories, snacks, collectibles, housewares, and toys. I love the dinnerware with Master Gracy's crest on them. Don't forget the stem ware to go with it. This the only place you can have your picture taken and turned into a ghostly portrait for a one of a kind souvenir. The imagineers did a great job of carrying the Victorian feel of the ride over to the store. There are fantastic decorating touches around every corner. So welcome foolish mortals! It's too late to turn back!

Really cute shop for any fan of Haunted Mansion. It's a smaller shop, but they pack plenty of options in. Most of the items are themed after the characters from the ride. It's located right outside of the exit to the ride itself. Be sure to also check out the option for taking a photo on site at the store and having it turned into a 3D photo that changes you into a ghost! Super fun keepsake and decently priced. They have a couple of staff on hand, so they can answer questions pretty quickly. A couple of my personal favorite pieces are the dishware and the maid styled headband that is themed after the costumes for the ride. They have more subtle options that incorporate the vibe of the ride without being overwhelmingly creepy, and are just fun pieces to have if you like the ride. Overall: A A small location but plenty to see and a must shop for any Haunted Mansion fan!

Memento Mori is a newish (opened in October 2014) shop in Magic Kingdom located right next to The Haunted Mansion ride. I never knew this until researching a bit, but Momento Mori apparently means "Remember that you must die." Creepy! And when it comes to objects, it's simply items that remind you of the inevitability of death. Though creepy, completely appropriate for a Haunted Mansion gift shop. I just love this shop because it's so very different than many run of the mill gift shops found throughout Disney World. They carry many items related to the actual Haunted Mansion attraction as this gift shop is supposed to be Madam Leota's former home. Madam Leota is the fortune teller inside the crystal ball in the Seance room of the ride. Though not a big shop, it's packed to the brim with fitting items and is so much fun to explore. You can also get your photos done here so you look like one of the ghostly haunts! Great addition to Liberty Square in the parks!

For many years, this was the Yankee Trader Gourmet Shop which held everything you Mickey you could imagine for your kitchen. There was just a simple cart outside between this shop and The Haunted Mansion attraction which held just a few souvenirs from The Haunted Mansion. Yankee Trader is now gone, and has been transformed into Memento Mori. As much as I loved Yankee Trader, all things Mickey for the kitchen can still be found at a shop at Downtown Disney. The Haunted Mansion is one of my favourite attractions, and I am so thrilled they transformed this shop. The Haunted Mansion definitely deserves its very own shop! Here's a little tidbit of info: In Latin, Memento Mori actually means 'remember (that you have) to die.' Memento Mortis means 'remember death." Could the name be any more appropriate for this shop?! :D The throws they have here are on the expensive side, but they are so soft and comfy. I just had to have one. I also really love the plushes they have for the Hitchhiking Ghosts. They also have a doll for the Bride. There's cups, plates, jewelry, ornaments, frames, clothing, hats, ties, art, and just way too much stuff to mention. If you are a fan of The Haunted Mansion attraction, make sure to take the time to step into this shop. I am sure you will find something in here that you just have to have. I love The Haunted Mansion so much that I wander in here every single time I'm at The Magic Kingdom. Definitely 5 star worthy!

Lizzy was very nice and made my son have a magical day. He was very scared of the Haunted Mansion ride as he got older and realized all of the details about the ride. As we were just hanging out in the store, Lizzy showed us a very cool spirit picture that she had done of herself. My son was impressed and not scared of this. We said thank you for showing us and then she proceeded to pull out a "Scare Pass" that she had made herself before hand. She added a haunted mansion sticker to the pass and gave it to my son as she knew he was scared of the ride. We were so impressed by this that he had the courage to get a Spirit Photo done of himself that he covets and treasures. :) He now feels more confident to go on the Haunted Mansion ride. She really went out of her way to make a guest feel special and encouraged him to face his fears in a magical way! What a great team member. I am thankful to her and Disney for always exceeding expectations. Thanks again Lizzy!

Someone please buy this for me. $395

I got my favorite souvenir of all time at Memento Mori! If you're claustrophobic you might want to avoid this place. It is tiny and (unsurprisingly) gets packed due to the popularity of the Haunted Mansion. However, if you love the Haunted Mansion (and if you don't what is wrong with you?) then head here and hold on to your wallet! The items for sale range from standard gift store offerings (t-shirts, colored popcorn, etc) to some intriguing statues, busts, and prints. There is a wooden print of Madame Leota that I would love to have, but it is a little too expensive for me. What really should interest you are the 'spirit photos'. When I got mine they could only accommodate one person in the photo. They take you behind a curtain, have you sit down, and take your picture. Pretty standard stuff and I was expecting to just get up and walk out at that point. The cast member insisted I stay seated and the proceeded to tell me a story about the characters on the wallpaper next to me. As she told me more and more about the wallpaper I thought "This woman has lost her mind." I then realized what she was doing. Every once in a while she would glance over at a computer screen I couldn't see. I'm assuming that she was ensuring that my image was clear and that the 'spirit' was going to line up with my facial features before it was printed. If she needed to retake it I would still be available. If this was a regular theme park they would just hand you your picture after it was done. Instead here they have you go over to a funky cabinet in the corner and they make a big production about how your picture has been produced. I have to say that I was thrilled with the results. At one angle it just looks like a headshot, but when you keep moving my face morphs into a spirit. The spirit head is lined up perfectly to match my facial features. For $20-$25 bucks it wasn't cheap but it sure was by Disney standards. I love mine!

Great little souvenir shop for slightly spooky souvenirs. It's very small and can get crowded quickly.

During my latest trip to Disneyworld over the holidays with my family, we stopped inside the Big Top Souvenirs after riding the train ride. Big Top Souvenirs is one of the larger gift shops in Magic Kingdom. As soon as we walked inside the store, we could smell all of the wonderful snacks! There was so may sweat treats and snacks available at Big Top Souvenirs! If you're interested in other items, Big Top Souvenirs does have toys, pins, apparel and so much more! This is one of the best shops at Magic Kingdom. Everything is well organized at this store and all of the items are typically in stock too! The food is delicious here as well! If you're in the area, Big Top Souvenirs is a must go to! The team members are amazing here!

So I have really complicated feelings about this Disney shop & confectionery as this was my work…read morelocation on my Disney Internship (which I did not enjoy). But also because they removed a key item from my childhood to build this (Mickey & Minnie's houses) which kind of broke my heart. It's a souvenir shop. A lot of dumbo merch obviously but so much more. It has quite a large footprint. If you are looking for something sold on Main Street and they do not have it, you may find it here so I would ask a cast member of they have seen that item. It's closet to a character meet up and the dumbo rides. A great (and popular) location to wait out any rain as there are outlets scattered throughout the store (though CM's will not want you to use them) they also have food-most confectionery so candy apples, rice crispy treats, cake pops etc plus ready made food. This is the only location on property that sells my favorite cookie of all time -the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. It's not themed in anyway but it's big soft but not too soft and just decedent. Trust me and try it if you like peanut butter. Lest time we were there we kissed out on it because apparently the store now closed at 3pm. Which upset me quite a bit as I lost out on my favorite cookie bit when I worked there it was open all day so I often was there closing until 2am.
