Here is my experience with this company: 1) Expect a long wait when you call - it was difficult to reach someone. 2) Expect an argument from them - there was pushback to my request to end the billing. So here is my strong suggestion if you contact them: When you call them don't take "no" for an answer. Stand your ground and tell them to stop billing you immediately. Also, Email them with your account number and tell them to stop billing you. Call your credit card company and inform them that this business is not abiding with your simple request and to reject any future billing draws. At the time of his review I have that have informed me that they will no longer make draws from my account. They told me I would get electronic confirmation in five days... But I never did. I've had to call back four times! I'll update this review once I receive confirmation. I do need to say that I absolutely understand this business model and I understand that they don't want you to end automatic draws. That's how they get paid. But that doesn't excuse the pushback and the experience could have been much easier. The only person over there who knew what she was doing was Ms. A. Ortiz. Huge thanks to her!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone else was useless. Thank you Ms. ORTIZ! read more

Terrible Their customer interface feels like your back in 1993 on aol . Zero transparency about all the fees charged . Website is useless, just like the customer service . Charge insane fees if credit card is rejected as well as late fees . No explanation of potential on their site /interface . Impossible to pay on their automated phone line . Customer service is only good for bombarding you with calls and e-mails if your payment is late . I was being charged the wrong amount , called numerous times to address this . No help . Got the karate school to fix it. Yet on their interface /website it wasn't updated . I was charged $30 late fees even though they corrected the issue . Run away if any gym or karate studio uses them . There's a reason why the better business bureau has loads of complaints . As well as a bunch ( all ) one star reviews on yelp . I've never dealt with such an awful website/interface and customer service . If I could I would give ZERO stars read more

My experience with MemberSolution has been extremely disappointing. About 15 days ago, I contacted them to get a required document, and it took 3 days just to receive it. I took the document to my doctor, had it completed, and submitted it on 7/15. Seven days later, I received an email saying it was rejected due to a missing signature. I signed it and resubmitted it the same day. Since then (for 3 days now), I have been unable to reach them by phone or email. On top of all this, they are now attempting to charge my account for the new term while the issue remains unresolved. read more

There is a reason this company has a 1 average over so many reviewers. It's because 0 stars isn't an option. I tried to cancel my membership after I had been making payments for over 7 years. I have called several times, emailed, and submitted an online inquiry cancellation. I can confirm that they argue with you and don't care if they have unsatisfied customers, even long term customers aren't valued. Do not use this company! If you get a chance to look at this before signing a contract, I highly urge you to find another gym/membership/whatever to become a member of. Unless of course you have a lot of money to throw away and want to test your patience. There isn't a membership worth having to deal with this company. read more

Scammy, evasive, predatory company. Highly recommend you avoid signing a membership with a company that uses Member Solutions for contracts and billing. I followed the contract to the letter and Member Solutions still tried to renew my contract. Luckily, the actual business was able to fix it with them. BBB should go after this company. read more

First off, I will admit that I didn't realize I had to cancel my son's MMA membership through Member Services, not the gym. That being said, when I called to cancel, I had a very difficult time understanding the rep. His English was terrible! He said he was going to send me a link to cancel. Didn't happen. Called another rep and got hung up on. Called a third time, link to be sent. Didn't happen. This all started on April 20th. It is still unresolved. They just keep raking in $200/mo. I'm sure this is widespread and I am in the process of working with Attorney General's office. DO NOT WORK WITH MEMBER SOLUTIONS!! read more

Terrible company. Money hungry scamming business. Expect to wait forever to get emails back but boy are they on time when it comes to collecting payments. I advise that you DO NOT sign a contract for a gym manager by this company. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

That is the worst company to work with. DON'T WORK WITH MEMBER SOLUTIONS! They are withholding 100% of our funds (more than $10K) without any contractual basis. They simply decided not to deposit our money, and they just did it, and charged fees that they decided to charge with no reports or explanation. Unbelievable!! read more

We really need a 0 Star Rating selection: A year ago I had canceled my Auto Payment (I was still in a 6 month contract with my gym and needed to "NOT GET PLACED on Autopay once my 6 months was over). I called the call center at Member Solutions as they handle the billing at my gym. I requested to cancel my subscription. I was told that the request had been received. Since then I have been charged just shy of $2000 for services I NEVER received- and they want to charge me yet for another month on top of this - 30 day cancelation policy... Customer Service representatives are 0 help. This turns into a "He said She said fight and they seem to keep stalling 'till the customer gives up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you can help it. read more

This is probably the most incompetent billing system I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Every time you call, they never answer the phone. You leave a message after message after message and they all go unheard. When you try to put your account on hold you can't because they don't answer the phone. Incompetency starts at the top and I would never hire this company to do any of my billing or collections. Steer away from these people read more

This is the biggest scam ever - if you see anyone using this service don't engage. I cancelled my daughter's karate membership months ago with the location. I'm getting calls still from them and they just told me I can't cancel until I pay up what I owe - on a membership we cancelled. Now the kicker - since I'm not cancelled, they continue to wrack up charges. RUN FROM THESE PEOPLE - SCAM - SCAM - SCAM If I could leave negative stars I would - wait they might charge me for that! read more

I'm not surprised to see so many one star reviews. This has been the worst company to deal with in regards to canceling my membership. Unfriendly over the phone and continuing to harass me via email and phone for payment when i have already cancelled with them. I've never dealt with another place that adamantly would not let me cancel over the phone either, only through email with a 30 day notice. I don't recommend doing business here. read more

If I knew that my taekwondo membership was going to be attached to this billing service, I would've never signed up for classes. First of all, I made a contract with the taekwondo company, NOT them. Secondly, when I explain to them why I wasn't able to continue my classes, they responded to me with a condescending tone and told me that even if I talked to my teacher and the director of the taekwondo, they won't cancel my membership. Basically, they told me that my efforts were going to be futile. I am extremely disappointed at my taekwondo gym for not informing me that the billing services they have are unethical. I feel sad because for the time I went there, I built fond memories from my training. I have a deep respect for all my teachers, and I feel truly sorry for them to be working with such a terrible billing service company. read more

Wish I could do zero stars. My husband ruptured his Achilles and can no longer participate in Gracie Barra jiu jitsu. This company will not let him cancel his membership and needs a doctors not to put a three month temporary freeze on his account for medical Reasons. He will not be fully functioning for at least a year. We should not need a reason to cancel a hobby. What if we came upon hard times and could no longer afford this extra curricular? They call and call and call long after the contract has expired. Twice I have requested a copy of this contract they claim it renewed automatically 3 months after it expired. They say that they will put a ticket in to get a copy of the contract? Well, how can you say it self renewed 3 months after original expire date if you don't even have it on file? This is my second bad experience with them the first time was several years ago when they billed me through auto-bill to the tune of $400 and the company that was using it had to reimburse me. read more

I just had a terrible experience with Member Solutions. I didn't have enough money in my account to cover a payment from a school I attend. I called them 3 times before I could stay on the phone long enough to get through the wait. I was charged a $10 late fee, ( I didn't know my school charged a late fee, plus I called as soon as I realized the payment didn't clear.) by MS not the school I attend, I was also charged $25 return item fee on an electronic transaction. I contacted my school and informed them I don't want MS having access to any of my banking info in the future. and I refuse to use them to pay my monthly bill. I love my school, I strongly dislike their billing service. The MS rep could care less about my complaint of the costly fees. I might as well had been talking to the wall. No business should use this service to bill their customers, unless they don't care about them and want to lose business. read more

The gym I'm using was closed for some time due to COVID, then opened up only partially via video (still being charged nonetheless) and now the participant I pay for has a medical condition and is high risk, but guess what member solutions said when I complained, "sorry you still have to pay, lifetime contract that renews automatically". They would rather get paid and put people in danger of their health then help any customer. I stopped payment and they sent me another bill. I intend on contacting our State for member solutions putting profit above health. read more

After being medically retired from the Military, loosing half my income, and being 100% disabled, Member Solutions still will not cancel our account. They have people who don't even know state laws in which they operate working the call center. If you ask to speak to a manager, you are lucky if you get a call within 48 hours. Maybe they have that many people asking for a manager. They will not provide a copy of the original contract when asked for it. All of this is shady and unethical business practices. They need to be placed under review and looked at by the State of PA in which they are operating. They do not deserve to have a business license. Stay away from any business that is too lazy to handle their own members and hire a company such as this. Run as fast as you can away from anybody who has made the poor business decision to use Member Solutions. read more

I tried to cancel my account or membership, after attempting many times to get into my account to cancel the service because of a change in financial situation. I called today and was told that I COULDN'T TERMINATE! They said that the my account auto-renewed on 10/9/2021 and now I am stuck for another year in this nightmare! In order to cancel we must have moved 50 miles from the nearest gym or have a medical issue! I find it very suspicious that I couldn't get into my account at all but then it wouldn't have done me any good because it seems you have to call them. If I want to terminate, I have to pay $646.40, and then she had the brass to say, that it would take a while before it cancelled. What? That's more than I paid for the 6 months when I signed up! So I should decide between paying my mortgage and utilities and this? Nope! This billing company is for Topflight MMA in Aberdeen. Never again! read more

Horrible Service. They give absolutely wrong info. I tried to cancel my re-new contract, and the only way they offered was to send email to not existing email. I truly don't like leaving bad reviews but what an absolute nightmare it was to try and cancel a contract through this company. My boyfriend needed to cancel his MMA gym membership because he was diagnosed with seizures and it was ordered by the doctor that he cannot keep participating. We had the proper paperwork filled out and they denied it twice and were very rude on the phone. They claimed it had to be filled out by an M.D even though on their form it says "filled out by a PHYSICIAN" it did not specify which kind. Nurse practitioners and P.A are within their legal right to fill out and sign this type of paperwork. When we explained that he is also not supposed to drive due to the seizures they weren't sympathetic to the fact that he had to rely on other people to get him to the doctor to have this paperwork filled out. He ended up paying an extra month simply because he had to wait on one of us to be available to take him to the doctor again. read more

The practices and treatment of your staff has been distasteful at best. I have been threatened, lied to, and hung up on when trying to understand what happened with my account. I paid for a number of months without any service until I was told the issue was resolved except I was continued to be billed! Member No-Solutions is a more fitting name. Obviously I'm not the only person who thinks Member Solutions sucks! Perhaps they are great for the businesses that use them but for that businesse's customers - it is horrible. Personally I will never sign up to a business again that uses Member Solutions services. Legally, I agreed to a 12 month contract for the services I wanted from a business. 4 months in a little bit of life happened and I could not continue using the businesses services. I reached out to Member Solutions to see if I could pay an early cancellation fee and received the follow response: ------------ An early cancellation fee option is not available. There are eight payments remaining on your account. If we can assist you further, please contact us at 888-277-4408. This has got to be the WORST billing system our company has ever used. We switched to Member Solutions with high hopes but it turned out to be a huuuuge let down. For one, their customer service sucks! We were promised one point of contact. Instead, they had us going from person to person before we could actually ask a question only to give us the runaround. We had a lot of unanswered emails and when they did reply, they took forever to get back to us. As a billing service, also give it one-star. We had A LOT of people not billed on time, people getting overcharged, and even people who weren't getting charged so we had to settle payment issues with our members ourselves. We had a lot of unhappy members as a result. Also, there's practically two services: Member Solutions and My Volo. They do not operate together so we had to constantly go back and forth. As a result, there were a lot of inconsistencies in billing, reports, payments etc. They're basically two different companies, each with the same horrible service. Finally, we decided we would no longer do business with Members Solutions/My Volo and switched to a different company. It's so much easier has good customer service. However, even though we are through with Member Solutions/My Volo, they keep billing us! So they're still giving us trouble even after we got rid of them. My advice, don't bother with Member Solutions/My Volo. read more

They are not helpful or understanding at all. They just want to keep collecting funds on a contract that even the business has cancelled on there side, just simply because they make it so hard to cancel the billing part on there side and they want to keep the surcharges they get from collecting those payments. There recommendations is to continue paying whether we can attend or not...or have the person attend although detrimental to academic success. Doesn't make sense to me at all and sounds like a poorly run business and it literally robbery... read more

This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It took over a month and several phone calls for them to even send me the necessary forms to cancel my contract (which I never signed with them by the way, but that's another story). Then they've given me the run-around and refused to cancel my contract despite me sending them everything required to do so. From the looks of the other reviews on here, I guess I can expect to keep getting charged even after I eventually (hopefully) do get the contract cancelled. read more

I have been using Member Solutions as our billing company for about 12 years, and have been very happy with their service. At the core, this is a company that handles electronic billing for monthly tuition payments. If there is ever a problem, such as a declined charge or expired credit card, they contact the customer and resolve the problem. It frees me from having to spend time on billing, and allows me to focus on what I want to do most, which is to teach martial arts and run our school. Are they perfect all the time? Of course not. Nobody is. But every time I've had an issue and spoken with our rep, it has been resolved to our satisfaction. There are many other billing companies out there and I get offers to switch, but I've no reason to switch. Member Solutions takes good care of me as a client, and for that they've kept my loyalty for the past decade. I plan to continue with them them for the foreseeable future. read more

I had little bit of a struggle canceling my membership, however after calling a second time a customer representative named Annette was able to resolve my troubles. My account was charged twice by accident and after calling in the first time I was given a run around. I got a full refund on the amount that was charged and was told that she would be 100% responsible if it hadn't gone through. I highly respect that and recommend anyone who calls Member Solutions customer service to ask for Annette. I think she is an amazing customer representative. I see a trend in the reviews here. It seems like a lot of gyms use this company, probably because a lot of gym owners have no idea how to actually run a business. I, like many other reviewers, tried to cancel my membership. The only thing they would let me do is put in a Do Not Draft order to get them to stop withdrawing money, but I still technically owe them. Now the gym has sent my supposed debt to a collection agency, which is also entirely disreputable. Don't get a membership at a gym that uses this company. read more
