Always get a good refund with them. This is my third year using them after a recommendation from a co-worker. Previously, I always did my taxes with my Dad. One main reason I started going there other than the recommendation is because I was working and living in different states, and needed help sorting it all out. The first year I did regular individual which was $100 fee, last year we did regular and a schedule c for business, which was $150, and I think this year will be $150-200 for business and multiple state employments. They help figure everything out for me and always get a bigger refund than if I did it by myself or with my Dad. They also help me with stuff that I can write off, which is a lot.. for instance miles used for business expenses, etc. During tax season they are open a lot (I think Monday- Thursday 8am - 8 pm, and Friday 8am-4pm), during the off season, they are open on Wednesdays from 10 am - 2 pm. You can also schedule an appointment in advance for a different time slot of their hours don't accommodate your schedule and they will work with you. You can also fax in documents. This year they have introduced email and paying over the phone with a credit card. Super friendly! Great job guys!

I couldn't be happier with the service I received! He listened to all my silly questions and gave me easy to understand answers. He did my entire return for me. Although if you do see him in person you may get some good stories about when he was an IRS auditor. Last year, I somehow forgot to send him my stuff. So I sent it up there on the Friday before taxes were due and I got it back on Monday. He's that good. If you have a question about anything, make sure you ask him about it. It could get you some extra cash.

Sometimes you know in the first 10 seconds that things aren't going well....I called Mr. Maurer…read more(partly because of the 1 good review he received on here) He was reluctant to even engage me when I introduced myself and asked if he had a minute to answer an accounting question. (I think he thought I was looking for free advice when in fact I was interested in finding out if he would be interested in doing accounting work.) I briefly explained that I was looking to have 3 returns done. 2 Personal and one for a partnership. I asked if he would be interested. He very curtly said " I'm not looking to add any business returns" I said " I guess the answer is no then" He said "that's right" The entire phone call was less than 60 seconds. Now, he might be a great accountant. He might even be a great guy. But wow. It's amazing how negative an experience can be and how much ill will a person can create in such a short time.

First they submitted my business taxes under the wrong classification (LLC instead of S-corp). Then, an error they made on my personal taxes left me with a bill in the thousands. When I brought the error to Fred's attention, he dragged his feet for months causing the tax bill to incur additional penalties and interest. All the while, Fred Myers acted petty and unprofessional in his communications with me about this issue. After 9 months, I finally got a letter admitting the error. Fred Myers & Associates should be ashamed of how they treated me -- I'll never work with them or recommend them again.
