The restaurant has a humble exterior (largely blocked by gelato customers), but once you descend the stairs into the dining area you are in a sheek, romantic, cellar. Intimately small but comfortable. The walls are lined with stone and endless wine bottles. The starters were all quite good. We had the snails, squid, and cheese plait. As a bonus, my waitress recommended an excellent wine to pair with the squid. It was spot on. My group shared the beef and tartafelle (forgive my spelling). The beef was succulent, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I had no idea what to expect with the second dish but it was delicious and I would certainly order again. The prior night, I had the bakes camembert when eating solo. The dish is exactly as described. It's tasty, but I'd recommend it for a group since eating an entire block of melted cheese solo is challenging. Last but not least, the wait staff were wonderful! We really enjoyed chatting with our 2 waitresses, who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and our election of drinks. As a tourist, you really hope to stumble on a gem like this were the locals charm you and really guide your dining experience. If ever back in Nice, i'll certainly go again!

Also note there is no cell service or WiFi service in the restaurant. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and away from the hustle and bustle of Nice. We ordered the squid, Foie Gras and Filet Mignon. All 3 were very good though I am not a fan of the Fois Gras but it came with a nice salad and bread. The squid was seasoned well and cut thin and flash fried. The filet was sliced and cooked perfect The potatoes were great and also nice salad came with it. Service was ok. Prices Moderate.

Good atmosphere, from the arrival with offered apéritif (punch) in a small dedicated space then. After that you will sit at your table. If you come here you have to eat a fondue that is the speciality. I enjoy the Bacchus fondue where the meat is cooked in red wine sauce, what gives a very good taste. If you don't like fondue you can eat other things but I don't know if it's really good. Correct prices 13EUR on average. Do not take dessert, between the tiramisu and the crème brûlée it was not really a success! We finish the meal on the offered liqueur, it's a pity that it is water-down... And at the end by going out we still remember our meal thanks to the magnificent smell incrusted in clothes... Good points : originality, atmosphere, fondues Bad points : desserts, smells

It is in the basement so from the entrance, it is difficult to see inside. Once you enter, the sit you in the nice sitting area and serve you a small drinks and olives. While sitting they show you the menu and take order. When the food is about to be ready, they show you the table. The portions are not small. I tried mixed meat foundu, cheese foundu and a order of salads. Be carful with ordering salad, it is a huge portion. The foundu comes with fries and eggplants. Also very large portions. Highly recommended

But as persevering as we are, we headed out on our second night and had a great meal of assorted Swiss meats and cheeses, raclette and tartiflette which is basically the best scalloped potatoes you've ever had with ham cooked in. SO GOOD. The restaurant itself is adorable. The inside is modeled after a Swiss chalet but instead of coming across as kitsch, it's very cozy and inviting. The service was great. Definitely add this restaurant to your must-do list when visiting Cannes.

It's located in the old quarter of cannes, near the top of Le Suquet- which is a winding cobblestone road with loads of restaurants. I am so happy to have discovered this street because it is the perfect representation of historical France. It was so amazing to walk up and take in both the lively scene and architecture. If you can't tell by the restaurant name- this is an old school Swiss joint... Cheese heaven really! We were a group of five and all settled upon one of the set menus for 27 or 28 euros each. The majority chose the raclette (grilling cheese) menu and I opted for the fondue option. Basically everything comes out family style anyway so our table had a large platter of sliced meats, the biggest crescent moon shaped hunk of raclette cheese you've ever seen, fondue, breads, pickles, baked potatoes (that they hung from the low cave like ceilings to make more room on the table) and salad. It sounds like a lot and it was a lot! We ordered plenty of wine too which made the experience that much more authentic! It was by far one of the best meals I've had in France period - and I've been to France quite a few times. I'd definitely return on a future trip to Cannes - it's a family style eating experience out of the norm. So so good!
