If you're looking for a children friendly park do not move here rusty playground they don't allow…read morekids to have play things in you're yard for the children. They say before you buy a place we are kid friendly but they are not .some people can have swing set in their yards but others can. This is sad for the children was going to put up a portable baseball net cage which agin only up when being used then taken down the same day and the management through a fit and said we can't have it. It was my grandchild birthday the manager was very rude yelling the rules say you can't have trampolines swings swimming pools .so I explain that those things are permanent but a baseball cage is not permanent it doesn't stay set up only when playing then tacken down. If you drive through the park and you see some people in the park have swings basketball hoops so you think it's OK to have the same thing. Oh but that's not the way things work in this park the manager is not fair. Friends and employees have special treatment. In a nut shell if you have pre teenagers or teenagers do not buy a home in this park they are not kid friendly. This park needs a new manager that does not live in the park and treat all tenants the same and let the children play .this manager does the I can do what I want but you can't attitude power trip. Just so everyone that think this park is the right place for your family it's not. Owners need to get new managers and staff members to. It made me put one star I didn't want to put any stars.

Colonial Oaks - the pool featured on Yes communities webpage, but it is also in print here. pool has been down for 3 years and they will not fix it

After searching for a 2 bdrm .place to rent in the Cleveland/ Elyria area. I came across Colonial…read moreOaks .I am more than satisfied with my lovely home . This place is beautiful! And affordable. I highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet place to live, please consider Colonial Oaks!

Moving into this YES community shows a beautiful swimming pool, nice grounds, and a playground for…read morekids. However, they failed to mention that the pool hasn't been in use for over 3 years! The newer trailers that they have been adding have been carelessly put in place, often breaking the foundation of the unit. This results in appliances, pieces of wall and door ways not closing properly because they were never installed properly. After waiting a year for a shed that was supposed to come with the trailer, the performance and care was extremely poor. A neighbor of mine has child who is wheelchair bound, yes communities would not build this for them and they were forced to spend their own money making a ramp to allow their daughter to have access to outside. They also just received the promised shed, 2 years later, which was carelessly put on the grass instead of the foundation that was poured for it. Another gentleman who is old hasnt had water in an extremely long time, no one seems to care to help this guy. I am a network engineer offering my time so this guy can utilize a shower and working toilet, why doesnt the community care? There is a super beautiful park by midway mall, i would recommend checking into those as they truly offer what they show. I will return to this post to show pictures, however, the women who are in the park never apologize, clearly itsnot their issue but they show no care in the health and happiness of the residents. A 9 year ol dwas just hit on the head in the park right by the office, never heard anything else of it? why wasnt this on camera? Pictures of the neglect of the park will follow. Thank you for your time and please take my words into consideration, it will help you make the right choice by avoiding a community who cares strictly about money, not the health and well being of the residents. Its a shame that they continue to keep the stereotype alive.

The deck on the property we rented was literally dilapidated and they never came to fix it, our fridge was broken, took forever for a repair or replacement, they gave us one infested with cockroaches, then FINALLY gave us a new one. The blinds got broken when they were removing the old one and that never got replaced either. Rent always goes up but the property was disgusting. We moved out and never got a security deposit back or a list about charges against the deposit. Currently proceeding with filing with small claims to get back deposit back with interest. If you want to live in literal filth with the most unhelpful maintenance, go for it.

Just come in and she'll take care of everything. Well. Once I showed up it was an entirely different story with this lady. She told me there was nothing available and to maybe try again in a few months. This woman's whole demeanor changed once I walked through the door and told her who I was. In fact, she acted like we'd never even spoken! She was very curt and dismissive. Any POC I would not recommend that you even bother because this woman will shut you down quick. Shame on her!!
