Thanks. Outstanding food and service. Very pleased. We haven't been in over two years, so we were very happy with the new ownership.

After 42 miles on the trail individuals in the group had some equipment issues that needed immediate attention before committing to the next 45 mile section of trail. We were not anticipating staying in Piseco but it was a must. We approached this picturesque historical Adirondack property (not far from Piseco Bob's and the NPT trailhead) after 4 days on the trail... without a shower... to inquire about rooms to sort our issues in a dry place. We smelled like a gang of wet bears that just emerged from hibernation... wandering a hot landfill for food; absolutely repulsive. The inn keeper, Jen, is very accommodating to hikers. She was able to rent us 3 rooms (cheaper than any mainstream hotel ...anywhere on the planet), offered us hot coffee, and assisted us in finding laundry services to clean our heavily punished clothing. We were also invited to the $12 breakfast buffet and told to make ourselves at home while on the property (kayaks, beach, porch, etc). Jen and her staff are amazing humans and infinitely accommodating. They are truly the unsung trail angels of the NPT.

Intimate, yet private tents that are more like cabins (lights, ceiling fans, heaters, and a front porch with rocking chairs) dot the hillside above the rustic central meeting place, which is anchored by a huge fire pit that burns continuously throughout the season. I haven't even gotten to the food! A professional chef, at home creating in any cuisine, sets a bountiful and delicious table. I had never been glamping before. I worry that I'll have a hard time going back to regular camping. Even with my blow up mattress. Thank you, David! This was a most amazing experience!

You're in the woods, in an awesome area surrounded by a great stream being waited on hand and foot. David was an awesome host the entire weekend, a friend and I drove up from NYC and were greeted with awesome local foods (sausages and cheese), produce, and a bottle of wine, we spent the night in a permanent tent structure that was pre-stocked with plenty of firewood (this was back in Oct). The host was an awesome chef, great to chat with, and was totally fine with giving us space when we needed. Additionally we packed a few food packs and went into the Caves of adirondacks. We definitely plan on coming back.

Whether you're skiing at nearby Gore Mountain or whitewater rafting on the Hudson, returning to a nice warm condo to relax with a cold beer is a huge comfort. When we have a big group for skiing, I always try to get the 4 bedroom units, but there are only 2 of them, so the earlier you book the better. They're not true 4BR because they are really 2 units with 3+1BR with an adjoining door and 2 entrances. The unit rental rate is pricey, but that's to be expected on a holiday weekend during ski season. On the plus side, you have 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens and 3 1/2 baths which makes a big difference when you're cooking dinner or trying to get everybody ready to go out to the slopes in the morning. Both units also have gas outdoor grills if you want to throw on some steaks after a long day on the slopes. Just be sure to put on all your ski gear if you're manning the grill and it's 0 degrees when the sun goes down. The office and clubhouse building is only a short walk away. Some of the individual units have WiFi if the owner is nice enough to have it installed, but it's available in the clubhouse if you really need it. There is also a swimming pool, foosball, billiards and table tennis. The office even sells discount lift tickets for Gore if you want to save a couple of bucks off the mountain price.

You could drive, but there is also a shuttle. The price for the two bedroom town house was not cheap, but the comfort factor made up for it. It has a full kitchen, with lots of dishes, cooking utensils , pots and pans. Even a blender! Anything you can dream of, with more than enough serveware which was nice. There's also a dishwasher which made life easier. Living, dining and kitchen were open concept, large dining table and a flat screen tv. Upstairs were two bedrooms , the master with ensuite and shared hot tub. I was surprised how clean the place was, everything was spotless and seemed like it was left just for us. No one bugged us for the three days we were there which was nice, but you could have requested a change of sheets, more towels if you wanted to. The office down the way, had a pool and maps and thing but we didn't use any of them. The only 2 complaints was that they couldn't give us the Wifi password and seemed to be only available in the office ( a huge downer for us roaming canadians) and for some reason we couldn't regulate the temperature consistently (either too hot or too cold) Otherwise the stay was really enjoyable, and couldn't have asked for more in accommodations. For those that dont feel like skiing, North Creek town about 5 mins away has a great bakery and antique shop!

That is exactly what we got. Honestly, I do not think we could have found a better place to stay. Our room was very comfy and clean. The house was recently remodeled and looks nice and cozy. The breakfast served daily was amazing. I Loved the pumpkin spice pancakes that were an October special. We watched some TV in the main living room and seemed just like a home away from home. It was exactly what we needed for our first bnb experience. The owner Dakota was friendly and hospitable. Her dad was also there occasionally during our stay. He had some interesting and funny stories. Everyone made us feel welcomed. Side notes, the house is next to a grave yard. If you are superstitious, then don't stay here. We arrived and were greeted by Penny who was very accommodating. This is a very pet friendly place and they have a very cute doggie host, Roddy who is such a mush. There was construction on the road while we were there which was quite noisy but hopefully that will be done soon. There's a fire pit on the other side of the house. Breakfast is cooked by Penny's husband and was delicious. There are many options to choose from and all cooked to order. They are very conscious of food allergies. It was a very nice stay and would definitely recommend.
