The food is so fresh and homemade and gives you a true taste of Russian/Ukrainian food! Our go-to's are always the Borscht soup, Darniskty Salad, Pelmeni, and Chicken Tabaka. They also always bring out some fresh Russian bread for FREE and they are super giving on the portion. The soup is a 10/10, reminds me of the Hong-Kong style borscht soup. Comforting, healthy, and hearty! The salad is by far the major reason I keep coming back. The dill, fresh tomato slices, salty onion, and cucumber with a little zest is so tasty and again super healthy! The pelmeni and tabaka are classics you can never go wrong with. The pelmeni also reminds me of Chinese pork dumplings and are absolutely delicious with their fresh sour cream dipping sauce. Our recent visit, we were sat on the exterior part of their restaurant and it was a bit chilly and windy so the owner provided me and my partner blankets! How sweet and thoughtful. Service is super friendly, just be mindful that it can be a little slow occasionally depending on reserved parties that day.

We had reservations on a Sunday night and they were fairly busy around 7pm. We were taken to the back seating area which is indoor. I appreciate that they have the option of a personalized dinner menu which is what my partner got for me, and they even bring you a large envelope so you can take the menu home. It took us some time to be greeted by our waitress. I felt the service was lacking. She was nice, but I felt like we were often forgotten. For our drinks I had a cucumber gin martini and my partner had the Casanova. Both were delicious! For our appetizer, we ordered the Piri-Piri shrimp. It was 4 pieces of shrimp lined up with small circles of flatbread in between each piece, seated on top of a smoky and flavorful sauce. We both loved it! For our main meal we ordered the couscous "Royale," fresh Papardelle pasta, and roasted carrots. The couscous came with one lamp chop, stewed lamb, merguez, and chicken - with a side of sliced almonds and dried apricot for topping, extra lamb stew sauce, and the most incredible harissa. I absolutely loved this dish, it was so flavorful. The pasta was a solid dish as well, and the roasted carrots were also fantastic. For dessert, we ordered the lava cake and I had Moroccan mint tea. The lava cake was well balanced with flavor and not overly sweet. The tea was fragrant, sweet, and the best way to end the meal. Overall I had a nice first experience at The Little Door. I don't think there's much left on the menu that I would want to try. I would love if they added more Moroccan-inspired dishes to the menu to make them stand out! But I feel like I would still come back, and I recommend it as a place for date night or to celebrate a birthday.

Food needs a lot of improvement, actually needs chef's. You don't serve Osso buco of the bone. You marinate lamb, before you broil lamb chops. You cook to the order,as it was given by the client. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have kids. It is absolutely not kid-friendly -- the staff seemed impatient and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was just as bad as the service: bland, poorly cooked, and honestly barely edible. Just a heads up, food can take a little longer sometimes, but that's because they're always busy and everything is made fresh, so it's worth the wait. I've also done takeout here more times than I can count -- probably over 100 orders at this point -- which says everything. This is easily one of my go-to spots and I keep coming back for a reason.

Came with a group and we had ourselves a bit of a feast for less than $50/ person (all in). And we left stuffed. We ordered the Uzbek traditional bread, some sautéed eggplant, achik chuchuk, some pumpkin manti, some shashliks, samsa, dolmas, and Uzbek plov. The entire meal was just a delight. Came to this area on a weeknight so parking on the street was pretty easy to find.

Loobia Polo is a rice dish sauteed with diced filet mignon, green beans, and tomato sauce according to the menu. The rice was tasty and was not too tangy. The rice dish was mostly soft, but there were some hard bits which I did not enjoy. However, I also enjoyed the meaty and juicy chicken koobideh. The flavor was just right. The roasted tomato on the side was also great. All together, it was a great meal. Our table was served with a complimentary flat bread with butter appetizer which was nice. The flatbreads were warm. The interior was nice and clean. There are clean and private bathrooms available. Service was good, but we did have to flag down a server to get our bill. There's a big and free parking lot in front which is pretty rare for Hollywood and even LA in general. Overall, I had a good experience here and wouldn't mind coming back.
