I hired Oasis Landscaping to 1) perform a minor return of my yard's drip irrigation and 2)…read morepotentially take over all aspects of my home landscaping needs. I met Mariana and Alex. Between the two of them, they reported that they had over 40 years dealing with sprinkler systems and landscaping in general. We went over the specifics of the job and they agreed to come back to get started on the drip irrigation. I asked them to work up an estimate. They showed up and began tearing up the existing drip irrigation which consisted of "flex" pipe main lines with 1/4" tubing with emitters on the arteries. The goal was to provide better and more reliable coverage for my perennial gardens which includes several pots planted with annuals. Here is where it began to go wrong. On starting the work, I again asked for an estimate along with an itemized list of work done and left to do. I never did get those items. Instead of they would show up as sporadically and then leave an hour or so later. To be fair, this work was done in April. So weather may have contributed to their work schedule. They ended up installing PVC pipe with "riser" spray nozzles. Most of these spray nozzles are providing poor and inadequate coverage. In some areas there is too much coverage and in others none at all. Almost every time they came by to work on the project, they asked for additional money to cover materials and labor... again without ever providing the requested estimate or itemization. After more than six weeks of this type of work behavior, they finally finished the sprinkler work and were supposed to return the following week to start weekly mowing. They did not show up as promised. I had to remind them. They did come by to mow, but the end result looked like a 10 year old mowed blindfolded. I told them we were not a fit and not to return. Today I found out from a neighbor that one section of the new drip irrigation had sprung a leak causing erosion and damage to their flower bed on the other side of the fence! I have subsequently engaged another landscaper. Since working with Oasis, I have learned that the job done by them should have been completed at a cost nearly 50% less than I paid and should have been completed much quicker - even with poor weather. Use caution if you choose to work with this company.

I just noticed that people seemingly tend to write reviews when they have a bad customer…read moreexperience. We're all human, so we can understand why the natural human instinct is to seek revenge whenever we feel that "we were done wrong!" People also tend to write positive reviews when lots of $$$ is put into incentivizing customers to "Like" their page, or "Follow" them, or whatever else they do to give a perception that they are better by all the glowing reviews than they really are. That's just the way the world operates right now and I'm sure most would agree. It's unfortunate that people aren't driven to write reviews when a service like this does an excellent job. It's all about $$$, isn't it? Do we ever question our intent before writing a negative review? I hope most people do, but reality is, they don't. Those who question their intent before submitting their blown out of perspective negative review are able to get a better perspective and find positivity towards others. Maybe the sales guy that "over-promised and under-delivered" was having a bad streak of "No Deals!" and real needed to make a deal so his kids can eat, Or maybe the owner of the company isn't aware of this happening and loses customers to the companies that invest the $$$ to make the world see how great they are, but really not, or amber people just work their 40 hours week-to-week because that's what they feel they "Have to!" Or maybe this negative review I am about to post will add one more small, or BIG step towards making our economy worse by hurting small business and sending more $$$ to the larger corporate entities. The reason people think others post these negative reviews is to really keep others from having the type of negative experience you had, but is that really why you take the time to right that? I think "NO!" It's to get back at the company or guy that did you wrong. Reality is, once again, it's the one person that did you wrong, but not the company or owner that's trying to make ends meet to put food on the table for their kids, just like what you may be trying to do. Just to reiterate, The negative reviews like some here, really tend to ruin small business so that companies with more $$ can make even more $$$, or what we always hear, "make the rich richer and the poor poorer. People mostly, but not always, like giving their time to focusing on the negative by putting others down, but yet, they believe they're doing everyone else a favor. I appreciate whoever has read to this point. Those who have, I also want to be transparent that the owner of this company is my Dad. He is a great man and does a lot of good for others, this company is here today because of one thing, "HARD WORK!" He is from a different generation that believes in hard work, passion, and giving your best in everything you do. This company came from my dad coming home every night from his full-time job to mowing lawns, which grew into something he didn't know would be the result to his restless hours spent to provide. This company really is one with a heart, I don't know who provided the negative services, but it wasn't the one who buoy the company. Most that work here are passionate, and sometimes there is a beds egg or bad apple found in the bunch. This company is carried by many that work here that have positive attitudes, but real struggles, or real people. My message to carry on to whomever has read to this point is this; "The ONLY DISABILITY IN LIFE IS A BAD ATTITUDE!" There is nothing more powerful than having a positive attitude towards all obstacles, challenges, disagreements, etc. Thanks for reading and hopefully this will carry on to at least 1 human, that would make it worth it!
