Myself and my partner ordered for the first time through this company on Saturday 18th January. My partner ordered 'cod and chips' and I ordered 'mixed meat and chips'. This order was placed over the phone as I requested no bread with my kebab. The customer service wasn't great at the beginning but we put it down to it being a Saturday night. We received a call from a delivery driver asking us where number '19' was, (we live at 90 and this was repeated more than once when placing our order). When the food turned up the kebab meat and chips was cold and it did not look cooked. I tried a bit of the kebab meat which was disgusting and tasted as if they had covered it in a pot full of chili flakes! HOWEVER, my partner's fish and chips. Firstly, was stone cold, secondly was so burnt it would have bounced against the wall if we had thrown it! But the final straw was the box the food arrived in (see photos). When I phoned the takeaway to explain and ask for a full refund, the customer service was disgusting. Once I explained about the hols in the top of the box, the reply was ''they must have put it in too hot, sorry about that''. We got told that a driver would come back at some point in the evening. We explained the driver had only just left but was met with dismissal and told they only had 2 drivers for the evening. I said that if I had not heart anything by 9pm I would be phoning back (this was at 7:15). The restaurant then phoned back 10 minutes later when my partner was in a different takeaway to replace the lost meal we had paid for previously. She was told they would be sending £4.50 back for the fish and chips as they didn't believe we had the second meal. She said she didn't know if we had it (we did but it was on our kitchen side and she wasn't here). They put the phone down on her and she automatically phoned back to say she did not appreciate having the phone put down on her andtold someone would be with us in 30 minutes with our £4.50. I then called and was met with silence and then 'yes?!?' when they answered (they clearly saw our number appear on screen and didn't want to answer). They argued with us that we didn't have the second meal and I said we do have it and they could take it back happily! We were treated like liars, there was no customer service and they didn't care that the food had arrived in a box missing half its lid! The driver in all fairness was polite when he returned and agreed the state of the box and food was bad and he would be taking it back to his managers. read more
