I wholeheartedly recommend her as someone to work with for capturing important life events. I was proposing in Central Coast CA on a vacation, and didn't know the area well. I had found a winery that I thought looked good, and used Yelp to connect me with a few photographers. I knew right away that I wanted to work with Jana - she was *by far* the most thoughtful, responsive, and creative photographer I was put in touch with. Jana went above and beyond in the days before the proposal, coming up with a fantastic game plan (complete with time stamps for where to be when!) to both create a special moment and keep it a surprise right up until the proposal - exactly the organization I needed. Moreover, she called the winery in advance and arranged for a bottle of champagne on ice at the proposal location, for my fiancé and I to enjoy afterwards. On the day of, Jana arrived early to the winery to identify a location amongst the vines that was both secluded and beautiful, and coordinated with staff on-site to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The photos themselves were fantastic. She beautifully captured our happiness and excitement in the moment, with amazing lighting and scenery to boot. Afterwards, we took many other photos (Jana had great ideas for poses!) and walked to a couple other locations at the winery to capture more shots of the special occasion. And, she turned them around and shared the photos with us in barely 24 hours, allowing us to smile and re-live the moment over and over again in the days following the proposal. A proposal is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and this one would have never gone off as well as it did without Jana's photographic talent, creativity in planning, and organization. I'm incredibly grateful to have worked with her, and would recommend her to anyone with an upcoming special occasion that needs a top-notch photographer! Thank you again, Jana!

A friend of mine had her boudoir shots done about 4 years ago. She tried to convince me to do it…read moreto, but I thought that wasn't for me I'm too old for that. It wasn't very long afterwards that I experienced a bad breakup, after nearly 16 years, one day he just walked out. I was left devastated with my self-esteem and my confidence in shatters. As if that hadn't been  tough enough, it was less than 3 months later that we all went unlocked down in March of 2020 due to Covid 19. So there I sat alone in my house, working from home with no social contact to speak of, no romantic possibilities on the horizon, and no self-worth, self-esteem or self-confidence yosoeak of. Thats when my friend started bugging me again about getting a Boudoir shot done. It took her maybe close to a year but she finally got me to email Sarah Williams @ Mirrors Edge.  This was in summer of 2021. I had just dropped a few pounds after gaining my covid 15, so I was just starting to feel a little better about myself. Sarah and I picked a date and it's a date grew closer and closer I grew more and more anxious, more and more unsure of myself. Then finally came the day of my photo shoot with Sarah and holy cow! First hour and a half was spent with Renee getting my hair and makeup done. She turned me into a movie star. Seriously she made me look amazing. Then Sarah spent a good amount of time helping me weed through all of the stuff that I had brought. (Seriously, it looked like I was moving in!) We picked 3 outfits  to work with that day. Let me tell you, walking out of that dressing room in my underwear, knowing that I was going to get my picture taken, in my underwear, just brought a new wave of nerves back to me.  But Sarah is unflappable, within minutes she had me laughing and following directions and enjoying myself and the next thing I knew the day had flown by we had gone through three outfits. I can't even begin to count how many photos and I had had a great time. I had laughed more than I had in almost 2 years. But wait, within the hour I got to sit in Sarah's little office and look at her computer screen with her at my pictures untouched, totally raw and was completely mind blown! Not only did Renee make me look like a movie star in the morning but that afternoon I saw frame after frame after frame of myself looking truly like a movie star. And I grew up in Southern California my dad was in the film industry I know what movie stars look like and the girl on that screen will look a lot like them. Oh and did I just refer to myself as a girl at the time I was 63! I loved my picture so much I spent twice as much as I got a collection twice as big as I had thought I would and I'm happy to say that I have one of my pictures hanging in my living room and anyone who comes to my house gets to see it. I'm so proud of how beautiful I look to that day and every time I see it, it reminds me that that's me! That beautiful woman in that picture is really me! Or maybe I should say is the real me. But that's just the first chapter of my story. Last weekend just 3 days ago Sarah and I executed something that we'd been talking about for around 7 months. I had always wanted to do a particular type of photo shoot. I'd always wanted to have my picture taken embracing my own particular form of spirituality in my photos. With Sarah's encouragement and direction, I found inspiration I shared with her and over the course of a few weeks we made a plan. Just 3 days ago, my second shoot with Sarah was my witchy boudoir dream come true. This time I was far more excited than nervous & this time Renee made me look like Betty Page meets Elvira and I couldn't have been happier. Again I purchased More than I planned because the pictures were so damn good! I had to have as many of them as possibly. I don't know your story but I know you have one. And I feel like most of us you could use a little uplifting. That is precisely what Sarah Williams at Mirror's Edge photography does. She is a champion of women of all ages, shapes, sizes,creed's, colors, spiritualities and economic resources. She embraces and lifts you up. With the help of Renee every woman who walks into her studio walks out feeling like a Queen. And it doesn't end that day! I do not even know where to begin. Finding a photographer my husband and I both liked was a challenge to say the least. My husband is a landscape photographer, so we have lots of opinions, and on top of that we needed to find a photographer willing to travel to a place that has no cell phone signal. I called around and talked to a few photographers, but no one seemed like a good fit, or they weren't willing to work with our situation. When I talked to Alma, we instantly hit it off on the phone and decided to meet in-person to go over expectations and details. My husband and I walked out of her studio and instantly knew she was the one we wanted to photograph our wedding. Fast forward to our big day. Alma and her team showed up on-time and ready to get to work, even with a very long drive. Despite being a SUPER windy and cold day, and forgetting some important things at home - 6 hours away - if you look at our wonderful photos you would think it was a perfect day and nothing went wrong. Alma and her team were amazing the whole day, they kept us on schedule, walked up and down the venue's stairs a million times (there were a ton), and when something came up, they adjusted like it was no big deal. She truly made our wedding day way more extraordinary than I thought it would be. When we received our sneak peek, I cried. The photos were gorgeous, and I craved more! I cried again when I received our full gallery. Alma was great with communication, she frequently checked in with us and was quick to reply to messages. Thinking back to our wedding day, what I remember most was taking photos with Alma and her team and it makes me smile every time. Her thoughtfulness throughout the day will always stick with me. Alma is a true artist and an amazing person.

First off, he was able to squeeze me in when other arrangements fell through the cracks. My photos speak for themselves, they are absolutely gorgeous. I received way more photos than I ever imagined.
