I would never ever ever in my life Recommend this place the staff was rude, the last put me under anesthesia my choice so as I'm under she claims I said to her I'm going to call your big boss & cooperate like lady how long you been doing this, people are not themselves under like you think I'm going to come off the anesthesia and remember what was going on. Sent me home on the anesthesia didn't do my procedure and just numbed my mouth & had me on anesthesia told me she cant see me after my mouth is numb and I'm on anesthesia. No stars at all I would never recommend. If you are scared of the dentist and having teeth pulled, Dr. Hamilton, and her staff, really help make your visit comfortable and pleasant. I put off having teeth pulled because I was so nervous. I can honestly tell you this is my third visit to her and every time it has been the best experience possible. She is soft spoken and kind. She explains How things will go and answers all of your questions. I also love that you can text with them instead of calling and waiting on hold. She is always punctual, so there is no long waiting time to see her. I was the biggest dentist wimp of all until I started seeing Dr. Hamilton. read more

I was told she was a good oral surgeon but she butchered my gums when removing a broken piece of tooth. After waiting for 45 minutes to be seen, I think she was in a hurry because she said she was the only dentist there. So she began and had to dig around the tooth to loosen it which is normal but she was slipping and cutting my gums. When my mouth healed and I was able to lift my top lip up, I noticed that a whole chunk of gum was missing from the base of my tooth to under my nose. It looks deformed. The staff were really rude. When I asked a simple question about whether getting braces in the future would be a problem, I got a lot of attitude in return. Their reaction was totally unnecessary. I almost canceled my appointment because of the so many negative reviews I seen about her. I'm glad I didn't because my experience was opposite of negative. They give you a paper that explains the risk and pre op instructions ( like don't eat after this time what clothes to wear etc) I didn't read them both so when she came in an asked me if I had questions and I said no she called me out for not reading the paper. She was right for it because there were some scary risks on that paper had i read I would've most likely had questions. so she went over it with me that day during the consultation and she asked me again before the procedure if I had questions. As far as after I was numbed but it honestly lasted about an hour and I could feel pain but my lip and chin were still numb but currently it is at a minimum and the swelling is half way down and it hasn't even been 24 hours. Very very poor manners, I answered a question with a gesture she says "don't give me attitude!!" Completely out of left field... Absolutely NO attitude was given I was simply gesturing to her question...way way uncalled for. Made me feel like a little kid. Bed side manners are not her forte. wow She had my 5 year old daughter for a removal of an odontoma so a tooth would come down.. she LOCKED the door with mt minor inside, never told us what happened, was rude and we found out 6 months later it was NEVER removed,. We found out from a reputable DR that NOW my daughter is now going to need a 2ND surgery. This woman is not good, not safe, and not professional. Stay Away. read more

If I could give a zero I would. This lady is extremely rude and has no business working with the public Never mind as a Dr. I went to her office on a Wednesday Dec22 for a tooth extraction. As soon as she said it wasn't going to be a routine abstraction and she may need to do a surgical procedure to drill it out, They could see I was nervous. She said I could reschedule and they would prescribe meds to help calm me bc she "doesn't have time to put every patient to sleep". When I asked if they could. I thought that to be rude, but I okay with it. new Appointment made for Monday Jan 3rd. I called office Wed Dec 29th bc no med was sent in. the secretary said don't worry she will go through all of Mondays schedule on Thursday and send in the script before closing for the holiday on Friday. Whelp it's Sunday and still no script. Called her answering service. At first she wouldn't call me back. After several calls to answering service she called me back extremely rude . "ITS a Sunday you know" she said.. I said I know it's Sunday and I have a surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning and your Office never sent in my meds. She told me to call her in the morning to remind the office to call it in at 8am. (Not sure why I have to continue to call them to remind Them TO DO THEIR JOB???) I told her I will be at work at 8am and she replied "I don't know what you want me to say to you" I said maybe a simply apology for the mess up and your office staff putting me out" She said so cocky "I don't owe you any apology" she then said "I think we should end this call before I say something I regret" who the heck says that as a professional?????! as If I did anything wrong here??? oh she then said well you can reschedule if you want. My response was after The way you just treated me as your patient I would NEVER want you in my mouth. I had her on speaker phone and my entire family had their mouth wide open while listening to the way she spoke to her patient.. side note* lesson learned, I should have listened to the many who said how rude she was when They heard that I was going to see her. read more

I went because I needed teeth extracted for heart issues. I was supposed to get novicane I never got. They put a red gel for pain and it numbed my lips but not my gums. Then she was going to begin pulling teeth. I felt uncomfortable so I said no and her response was "its time to put your big boy pants on" like I was a child. She was even going to send in a prescription for xanax to my pharmacy for next time I went. I called and canceled. Not professional. read more

So, I have NEVER wrote a review before, unless it was a great one. I'm not one to complain publicly but this experience just really has me down. I'm a young 20 year old girl and I was referred here just to get my wisdom teeth removed. I went for the consultation, they kind of just rushed me in, took x-rays, had me watch a video about the procedure, then the oral surgeon briefly came in and asked me if I had any questions and I brought up my fear of not being numbed, asleep enough and being able to feel the surgery and she just said the "oh you'll be fine" and sent me to the front desk to make my appointment. Fast forwarding to the surgery day, my boyfriend took me because my aunt (my guardian was working) so he offered to take care of me. I'll try to sum this up as short as possible, they didn't numb me enough so I could feel teeth being yanked on and could even feel pain from a tooth coming out, I could hear myself crying DURING the surgery, mind you I was supposed to be under anesthesia. When I "woke up", I felt INSTANT excruciating pain and the numbing on one side of my face had already worn off and within 45 minutes into my car ride home, the other side had worn off too. They let me sit for about 5 minutes after I woke up but then had me walk out, they didn't even wheel me out in a wheelchair, nor did they ask if I felt okay to walk. My boyfriend was just really shocked to see they way they were there because he didn't have any of those problems where he had his done (instant pain, numbing worn off minutes later, and remembering much less FEELING anything during the procedure). To top it off I was sent home with a prescription for not even enough pain medication to last me 2 days but they said "because you only had 3 wisdom teeth out, you'll be fine." I would give the office 5 stars,but it lost one only for the waiting room.I went here twice,once for a consultation,and then to do the procedure.When I had the consult,maybe because it was the time of the day,it was packed,standing room only,and I waited past my appointment time,that was the only downside other than that,she was professional and quick,the office nicely decorated,the front desk was friendly,and I got a follow up call from Dr.Hamilton the next day to check in on me,that was very good.Id recommend her. read more

I wasted 45 minutes there after not eating all day, they informed that today was a consult not my actual surgery. And made me feel like it was my fault when I didnt even schedule this appt. So I was referred to Dr. Hamilton from my regular dentist on the Cape as she does nothing but oral surgery. I had to have a lot of work done so I called and made my consultation appointment. At my consult I stated that I wanted to be knocked out for any and all procedures. I already deal with a lot of anxiety and panic disorder in life in general. When it comes to the dentist or oral surgeon, that anxiety and panic multiplies by 1,000! She said she didn't feel comfortable knocking my out because I checked the box that I have asthma. Ok. Fine. They talked me into using Nitrous. Right after my consult, covid hit. Everything was shut down for months. I had an emergency extraction that needed to happen and they fit me in for that. I was a mess and they treated me like crap. That should have been my clue not to go back. Months later when they were able to open again, I called to reschedule the rest of my work. I get there and the nurses and the dr acted as if they didn't have a clue what I was there for and as if we didn't already have a consult. I was suppose to have two surgeries and be done. I've been there 5 times now. Finally on this last surgery I called and said "I've done it your way, I want to be knocked out for this last one or I will go elsewhere". They agreed to knock me out. My husband took the day off from work and we drove the hour to get there from our house. I told the nurse I wanted to talk to the dr before they started (she never comes in to talk to you before she starts). I simply stated that I would like stitches placed in the extractions sites of my bottom wisdom teeth as I wanted to try to avoid dry socket again (still dealing with it from a molar pulled weeks ago). The dr instantly got an attitude and told me she couldn't work on me because I was too upset ... she couldn't sedate me when I was like that. Now I wasn't upset AT ALL until she came in with an attitude. It's clear that she didn't want to sedate me from the beginning and despite saying she would, she was going to find a way not to. I told her I wanted my charts and I would go back to the other oral surgeon I had been to years prior. Her response was "well why didn't you just go there to begin with?!" I told her it was because I was referred to her and I was told she was good which was clearly not the case! Also, the other oral surgeon couldn't get me in for months and I was in an emergency situation at the time. She could get me in within a week. That should tell you something alone! I was not being very nice at this point and I will admit that with no issues. But I was fine until she came in with her "it's my way or nothing" BS! I went to the front desk and said I was waiting for my charts. The nurse had a release I had to sign. She then told me to "keep the pen because I touched it" She said I couldn't wait for my chart and that they would mail it to me. Whatever. Fine. Moral of the story, dr Hamilton and her staff are extremely rude. She's clearly not very good since I've had to go back 5 times. If you have any anxiety when it comes to the dentist/oral surgeon, this is NOT the place for you!!! Dr Hamilton has been doing what she does for a long time. So long that she's clearly burnt out and no longer enjoys what she does. Thats when it's time to retire! Drs take an oath to do no harm. She has done harm. This woman is awful! After taking out my wisdom teeth (they had to use the drill because of my deep roots) I got a bubble in my mouth. She seemed confused about it and put me on a second round of antibiotics. I go back again and she sends me to my normal dentist because she thinks the infection is from ANOTHER TOOTH, not from where she drilled my tooth out less than a month before. They tell me she's wrong its from her drilling. I tell her that and she tells me THEY'RE wrong. I end up going back for 2 more follow ups before she schedules a biopsy for 2 WEEKS AWAY. I had to go back in today because my mouth was bleeding and my gums were literally yellow and brown and she tells me SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER SCHEDULING ME FOR A BIOPSY! Then her assistants tell me shes just wrong and just forgot. She says she still thinks the infection is from another tooth EVEN AFTER PULLING A CHUNK OF MY JAW BONE OUT FROM THE INFECTED AREA. ALMOST A MONTH AFTER SHE DRILLED INTO MY JAW. SHE SAID I MIGHT NEED A ROOT CANAL AND TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY MOUTH AND HER OBVIOUS MISTAKE. On top of that during 2 different appointments she didn't know who I was...."oh your mom's the neurosurgeon right?" No. "You were the one with the chest pains after the antibiotics, you're from Maine right?" Wrong. AND SHE'S BEYOND RUDE, TOTALLY CONDESCENDING, NOT EMPATHETIC, AND HAS THE ATTITUDE THAT SHE'S BETTER THAN EVERYONE AND CAN DO NO WRONG. I am now on my third round of antibiotics from her in just over a month. And she has neglected the infected mass in my mouth for over a month now, just poking at it and scheduling more follow ups to poke at it again. Sorry for the long review, but this woman has me livid with her obvious ignorance. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO HER, and will have another doctor fix HER mistakes in my mouth. My daughter went to this practice today to have 4 wisdom teeth removed, when they called me back to bring her home they did not prepare me for the horror i was about to walk into. My beautiful composed professional daughter was clearly distraught in pain drooling blood and babbling about her missing teeth. I was in shock, but even compounding matters was the complete lack of professionalism that was extended to us. I eventually demanded the police be called after one of the assistants grabbed my arm and stopped me as i was leaving to use my phone. Seriously the most malice filled experience of my life and i wasnt even the patient.she will be receiving followup care elsewhere and is still in pain. I should have had her removed by ambulance. There is no excuse for their behavior but i doubt we are the first to go through this after i contact the appropriate medical authority in mass we will most assuredly be filing a complaint and possibly legal action to force them to get the training they need to deal with. medical emergencies like the professionals they profess to be. read more
