My family has lived at Deville Grandeur for a few years. I absolutely would not recommend this…read moreproperty to anyone in search of a place to live. One of the selling features is that there is a washer/dryer in every building. This much is true. However, most of the time they are not both operational at the same time. Initially, it was an ongoing problem to even insert the coins into the machines to get them started. Apparently this was due to the fact that nobody that works on the propertty was trusted to retrieve the coins that were full and jammed in the machines. Then both machines actually broke down and instead of actually replacing either, they nursed them along replacing broken parts with what seemed to be were more broken parts. After well over a year, they apparently finally entrusted someone with the almighty key with which to remove the overflowing change compartments so that no longer seems to be a problem. Within the last few months the washing machine was replaced with a very basic, generic washing machine which barely fills with water, and removes no lint/hair during the entire wash cycle. Because the lid locks, it is impossible to add softener to the wash. The dryer finally broke and it was replaced with a used dryer which fell apart within two months. We are now awaiting "parts" to repair this dryer, because, you know, why in the world would they actually consider getting something new that works? There was a totally dead shrub in the yard that prevented one from being able to clearly see before pulling out onto Tennyson. That's right, dead...and it took well over a year to have it removed. There are still dead shrubs on the property and frequently the lighting in the back parking area does not work. I can't think of one reason I would recommend this to anyone. Ever.

I lived here from 2017-2018. I sold a home and needed an inexpensive place to live as I finished…read morecollege. I should have sprung for the alternative with the loft bedroom in Canton. I cannot tell you how much I hate this complex. Had a pipe break in the apartment and it took hours to have someone turn off the water. It was during the week and during working hours, but it was a Jewish holiday, so the entire company takes the day off. By the way? They had to turn off the water to the whole building, which was buried under a foot of dirt and grass. The water department had to come out with a metal detector to find the shut off. Luckily? I had renters insurance. Did they pay the deductible? Absolutely not. After complaining for days, they deducted the amount from my rent. Was forced to move into another apartment (at my own expense, btw) as the water damage was so extensive they had to tear the walls down and the floor up to replace all of it. When I went to leave that apartment, they decided that I had to pay a fee to have the carpets cleaned (was NOT in the rental agreement, just a policy change on the fly). When I refused to pay it? They tossed it on my credit report. Eventually I tossed the thirsty fools their $70 to just get it off the report, but I have to say, that is some underhanded stupidity. So that's the money part...lets get to the actual apartment. Bugs. A LOT OF THEM. Everywhere. All kinds. Some I still can't name. I had their bug people come out...it didn't work (I know, "duh") so I went and got my own bug spray...which didn't help per se. Why? the apartments are built so shabby that the bugs simply come inside and then die. The apartments are dated, crappy little apartments. Small with crappy wall board walls, carpet, cabinets, and linoleum from decades ago. From the pictures they have posted they are trying to modernize, but it's moving very slowly as they still have the same pictures I saw when I moved in (I swear one is my old apartment across from the rental office.) I hope they enjoyed that $70...because it's that last "kick on the way out" charge that will keep me remembering that I need to ensure my reviews are still posted loud and clear.

DO NOT APPLY HERE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY…read more My fiancé and I applied here and paid $80 to apply. We were assured that we would be accepted after we had explained everything from our credit to our jobs. A few days later, we were both denied. I called the office and left a voicemail for them to call me back, they never did. I called again FIVE days after I originally called and talked to the manager Kathy. She said that she couldn't refund my $80 that I gave them for no reason. Kathy told me and my fiancée that we would definitely be accepted, and we weren't. So don't bother applying to live here unless you want to be out $80 for nothing. Horrible experience and horrible manager
