PLEASE READ DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVEIW!!!!***************** In our opinion in the interest and safety of your beloved pets please stay clear of this vets, when our 8 week old puppy was attacked by another dog and was spurting with blood from here face nose and mouth she was rushed to this vets as it was the closest to get to, upon first initial assessment with the vet she was given a very brief quick overlook and sent home with pills to be seen the next day. Through out the night she worsened and we where frantic so called them first thing to be given an appointment straight away after seeing a second vet we where told she had a palatte condition and needed putting under so she could look into her mouth because she wasn't able to open it properly in case she bit bearing in mind she's weak as it is and is only a baby she's hardly going to rip her hands off!!! We where told she may not recover frome going under but it needs to be done. From there it all went down hill lack of communication between staff and then relaying back to us we where told she was fine then told she needed specialised hospital care and to be put on oxygen because she wasn't coming around properly we rushed over where once clarifying who we where we're told by a receptionist there's your bill how do you want to pay no mention of seeing our pup and discussing options with a vet. We took her to the vet hospital where she was whisked away and took into intensive care and told later by a vet we would need to be on hand because shes very weak and may not survive the night with her condition. After a horrid night the hospital called and said she was still the same and they where really worried, after discussing with the vet my husband asked what condition she had and they said a previous lung condition as in lung disease this is why they had said she may die, we then explained there was no prior condition and they said MELBOURNE HAD SAID SHE HAD, so after three agonising days we can happily say we have her home and safe and well no thanks to Melbourne veterinary centre. Lastly if she had been assessed properly the first time it would have been discovered that she had got two puncture wounds in her mouth and the blood was filling her lungs and to top it off today after seeing the reports we discovered she had to have two teeth taken out to our horror and disbelief of not being informed. As in the other reviews we have to agree and it is our opinion that if they had experienced non-foriegn vets it would have been a different experience for us and our puppy. read more
