I have had many surgeries in the past. I have to say, this place was very good. From check in to d/c, it was good. The anesthesiologist was phenomenal. He took my concern about my previous episode with awareness very seriously and made sure to pull out some "tricks" to prevent it on his case. I remember waking up post op and him being there asking me if I remembered anything from surgery. I didn't which was good and exactly what I asked for. Apparently me and Fentanyl aren't friends but they made sure my discomfort was well managed with Benadryl and anti nausea medicine. My surgeon, Dr. Moyles and his PA were phenomenal, as well. They both made sure I was comfortable and was ready for surgery and he got me back an hour EARLY for surgery. The one thing I was a little thrown off by was that they gave no post op instructions verbally to my mom. They gave the paperwork and that was it. I'm not sure if that's because they knew that I am a paramedic and knew how to handle my care but it was the only time I can ever think that we didn't get explained post-op care instructions. Again, that was the ONLY minor, very minor thing. As long as the paperwork was given, I count it as a win. I may be returning to the facility soon to have my other hand operated on but not sure if that's the route I want to take or not. I would 100% be okay with returning. read more

Melbourne Same Surgery was truly caring to all of my needs, while I was there to get surgery. They very attentive and nice to me. Which made me feel a ease! No phone call for me last night to know what time I am to have surgery.....today! Been up since 4:30 and have been calling since 5:30 to find out what's up. This sucks. I sure hope this never happens to anyone else. It's 6:40, still waiting. read more

Went here yesterday for a surgery and had a good experience. Everyone was patient, attentive and professional. They thought ahead and tied the back of my gown so I could slide it on. Explained everything. Made sure I had lots of nausea meds after told me take my tjme after - I was having a hard time waking up sat in the after surgery an hour and a half but they were patient with me. Maybe an early morning surgery is best. I didn't give 5 stars because I left a voicemail with the nurse who set my surgery time who didn't call me back but I'm not sure they work for this clinic or at another place. I thought they did great. I would come here again. read more

Dr. Sullivan (an ENT specialist) was a great surgeon to work with. I was very pleased. Every nurse was very kind, considerate, empathetic and attentive. The woman that checked me in at the front desk was friendly and pleasant. Both anesthesiologists were amazing! I was a little nervous going into my surgery but I can't tell you how wonderful and smooth my experience was at this establishment! Everyone seemed to work fantastic as a team and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort before and after the surgery. read more

Dr Benezra is a freakin clown. I was trying to leave a review for him at his office but they dont have a yelp that I could so this place will get the ill review for him. He is so half assed with everything he does. Overly arrogant and quickly dismisses patient concerns. I had a procedure done by him and he completely missed the issue. Went elsewhere... same procedure done and problem found. Thanks Benezra for making me pay twice for the same thing bc you are incompetent. Not the great doctor you clearly think you are. read more

Just goes to prove my point that men nurses can never be as good as a female nurse. And I AM an RN! Had surgery here in June, pre-op nurse, Linda? , dark hair, small woman been there 20-30 years was fabulous! She knew what I needed before I even needed it! This was my 2nd surgery with her can't say enough about her! Post-op, this is where the men nurses need to step out and go work in long term care where the patients don't know they've been slighted! Both guys named Mike, I think. Had Mike for post op, woke up, 10 minutes later he told me to get dressed. No offer of anything to drink, he wanted me out because it was about 2:30 and I was his last patient. He was going home early! I obliged because under the influence of anesthesia I didn't have the mind to say no I'm not ready! 5 minutes later I'm in the holding area, husband is called and we are told to get the car. No pain rx, MD had forgot. So the other Mike, manager, I asked him to call my MD. His words " you have the same number we do". At this point a lady nurse glared at him, paged my MD, WHO CAME BACK TO THE CENTER AND GAVE ME MY RX! Oh, this was after the first Mike told me I had to go to the MD office to get the rx, and we actually drove over there and MD wasn't there -thanks for calling him for us NOT! wow, thanks MIKE AND MIKE. Cause you suck at nursing! Only wish I had gotten the name of the nice lady who glared at Mike's ignorance and called my MD! Oh, and she offered me something to drink while I waited for my MD. read more

I had one of the worst health care experiences. Not that the surgery didn't go well, but the quality of care was horrible. First, they were an hour late taking back to the pre-op area with no explanation. Second, I was told the doctor would come by and see me before the procedure. He didn't and when I did see him, he ignored me. (During the office visit he complained that the stones are hard to see on the x-ray because "of my size". Why is it that doctors assume that all overweight people are gluttonous? I actually workout 5 days a week and eat healthy.) Here is what happened once they took me back. I was moved from pre-op because they needed to set up for a training in that area. I was moved to recovery, then to the room for the procedure. Since they were an hour behind schedule, once the procedure was over, I was put in recovery and the doctor talked to my family about the surgery. I was in recovery no more than 30 minutes before the nurse yelled my name, ordered me to drink a cup of water, the ordered me to get dressed, and tossed my belongings in a chair. I did as told, got wheeled to the bathroom, when done I was wheeled to the car and practically ejected from the chair. My brain was in such a fog, it was all I could to just do what I was told. The only thing I could figure out once my brain was functional again was that they close at 5 and because they were late getting me into surgery, they rushed me through recovery. read more
