To my surprise there was a great turnout and a good amount of people at the skating rink on a Friday night. I arrived around midnight. The DJ was playing good music and the crowd was decent. There were many couples, some newbies and the regulars with the fancy moves. I was surprised that there was no food being sold or alcohol. There is a sunshade over top to help cut down on it being hot from the sun. There is plenty of grass around for children to run in as well if they wanna bring a ball. This indoor skating center wasn't too far so we decided to pay it a visit. I will say it's very affordable considering the activity and skate rentals. For my family of five we laid $57.00. My daughters had an amazing time and the location itself is large. We loved that they had snacks and food items to purchase as well. I took away stars for service. This place gets busy and quickly upon opening. It was our first time so we had absolutely no idea what to expect. The gentleman at the register was just not welcoming and quite frankly rude. I didn't pay it much mine because I wanted everyone to have a great time. I would suggest a friendly person as the welcome person for a better impression.

When I went in there today they had a lot of items on clearance, including shirts, shorts, swimming shorts, and sandals. They also have a really good variety of sunglasses both cheap and expensive. As long as I've been going here, for over 15 years, The employees always go out of their way to help you find something that you want. I have never had any trouble finding help when I needed it.

Last month, I joined a friend of mine for a morning stroll. Let's see how the visit turned out. I met my friend outside of the information center on an early Saturday morning. The weather was cold but not to where walking was impossible. The path we took, Wetlands, was pretty good and mostly dry. It's the main one we take everytime I visit. I was surprised there weren't other people out and about since it had sunshine, but it was cold and breezy. Just the way a nice trail should be on a Saturday morning. Overall, a pretty good time to get some exercise in. This park is one which will continue to be one of my favorites. Till next time :)

We had stopped at Glory's Bakery for lunch but when we arrived, we discovered that their dining…read morearea was closed, so we pivoted and decided to take our food to a nearby park and that ended up being Brigadoon Pines Park that was nearby. It was so nice to go down memory lane and bring my kids back to their first park ever, from the time they were born to when we left! They don't remember it of course, but I do! When we were stationed here the first time around, we lived in Brigadoon and this was our go-to park. I remember pushing them on the baby swings, hearing them giggle as they went down the slides and also being absolutely terrified as a first time mom that they would fall off one of the open ledges with their wobbly little legs. The park has been well maintained 6 years later and they've made an addition, a skate boarding ramp. The park also features a playground structure with ramp, baby swings, regular swings, a basketball court, a grassy field, benches facing every play area and a picnic table with a shelter equipped with a trash can. This is where our little group enjoyed our delicious lunch from Glory's. The kids had a great time playing before and after our meal. There's also ample parking. There is a swing set for infants and another for bigger kids. There are several climbing sets as well as a great climbing rope/tarp unit that has a rather large slide at the top. So great for the toddler/bigger kids to not get bored with. There's also a smaller playground set for little toddlers with a cool roller slide. In case that's not what you're looking for, there's a small skate area that I think would be fun for beginners. Lots of grassy area in case you bring a pup or the kids want to run around for a game of tag. Just down the path, there's a basketball court that looks almost new. This park has more than I expected and the little one loved it! Will be coming back for sure.
