We noticed CG Services from the freeway and decided to check them out on our return to the area a week later. We stopped in, met with several different people and made a relatively small flagstone purchase. We were impressed with their rock products and decided to return for a much larger purchase. They convinced us our F-150 pick up could not handle the load we wanted to buy. Btw, they were 175 miles away from our location, or 350 miles round trip, which was about a 6 hour drive. Consequently, we rented a trailer and had a solid experience with the team there. We were offered a 'bucket' of cobblestone which was one scoop from their large Payloader. Rather than take the entire load we selected the rocks we preferred and were charged accordingly. We selected about half the 'bucket' and purchased some additional flagstone as well. My wife likes that stuff if you couldn't tell. The point of all this is when we got back to our place and unloaded we discovered we were a little short for our project. We decided to go back one more time and purchase the balance of what we needed. Unfortunately, after driving all that way they acted like they had never seen us before, were rude and would not take our prior purchases into consideration for the small amount we still needed. They charged us 50% more for only 30 rocks over what we paid for half a Payloader 'bucket'. To put this in perspective, the initial cobblestone order was about 210 rocks. For the additional 30, we were charged 150% of the amount paid for the 210. It makes no sense to treat repeat customers this way. None. We realize they probably sell primarily to larger customers and corporate accounts but a 3x repeat customer must have some value to them. They knew we came from a long distance and decided to just stick it to us. A quick word to the wise on this company...Be Careful When Dealing With Them. They seem to be unscrupulous and use unfair business practices.
