Well I went to Meijer in Muskegon in North Muskegon and found a kitchen product in instant pot in fact that was $50 less at walmart. Meijer does not price match to remain competitive so I suggest starting off at Walmart. I'm guessing that they don't have empty shelves either. Asked Jason in butcher meat department for help with 3- 1lb packages of a particular hamburger a customer ordered. He pointed out the family pack and said it's right there (across from butcher counter) I went to look and it was family packs. I said that is not what I'm looking for. He said just split it up. I said I can't I'm trying to fulfill an order the customer ordered 3- 1lb packages. He walked back through the butcher doors and a guy named Evan helped me and he walked back and got the meat I was looking for, no thanks to Jason. I was very pleased with how kind Evan was but Jason should be ashamed because the store loses money when products aren't supplied and the customers get angry. Very next day did a customer order a meat again not on the shelf so I pressed the bell, got Jason again.... Asked about if they had any he said it's not ready... wouldn't have taken long at all to get. Let the customer know he said they didn't have it ready (hard to believe him when the day before Evan walked out with an entire bag full of meat) the customer was mad and had me put back 15 of his 40 items that required that meat... not cheap items either. Again, meijer lost money because of the lack of customer service and the customer didn't get his products either. read more

went to meijer north muskegon on 1/09/2025 at 6:30 am they had skids and skids of stock in every aisle needed to get somethings skids were in the way barely had enough room to walk side ways to get what i needed i dropped a bag of the candy melts on the floor no way could i pick it up i tried kicking it to pick it up that was impossible to do. this is a common occurance at this store you would think they would stock the store when it is closed not during business hours. makes it very hard to shop at this meijer on top of the cluttered aisles 75% of the time the web site says an item is in stock not at this store its rare to find an item that the website says in stock. poor management? customers should not have to deal with the clutter while shopping. read more

Are you KIDDING me!!! WHO do they think their customers ARE? Try to find a warm, fleece lined jacket or pullover sweater they are anywhere STARTING at $60 going up to $108!!!! I would give zero stars if I could. This store is one of the worst in this area. Their service sucks, they hardly ever have anything properly stocked. It's a waste of time to go here and then have to wind up going to another store because they are ALWAYS out of products. It's literally a 50/50 chance on whether you'll get the products you need. I don't understand how an entire store with 100+ employees has such large gaps in the products on their shelves. If I didn't live in North Muskegon and practically forced to shop here because it's the only department store in the area, then in would NOT shop here. This store is a joke. read more

It's OK. I'm VERY VERY glad to have seen these items being stocked: *French bread (the one with the Eiffel tower on it is to die for (literally) and is quite healthy in comparison to others) *Kimchee *White Daikon Radish *Frozen sushi (but now its no longer there) *Pocky *Buckwheat pancake mix *Organic cage-free eggs *Frozen advocado - yay it lasts longer! But I really want to see more items and more selections personally- I can't hardly eat anything due to health restrictions..... Like these would help to add to the selections. More food for people avoiding lectins such as.... *foods and spices without chilli peppers *food without tomato product *food without corn product *food without corn syrup *teas to go without a ton of added sugar (sugar free isnt tasty to be honest). To be honest, there really isn't anything at all for me to eat without causing a lot of health issues and actually finding these products takes hours of searching, finding the products like this is like a miracle. I'd even suggest a lectin-free section in a health-aisle to see if they sell a lot of those products, i'd be buying from there. Seems all the spices, frozen foods and even foods with added "spices" in the ingredients have what I can not be eating due to red peppers/bell peppers/chili peppers and tomato. I'd also LOVE to see.... *frozen YUCA FRIES (very important to me) *matcha ice cream (very important to me) *taro ice cream (would buy quite often) *lychee ice cream *frozen sushi back in stock, the price was cheaper than the fresh sushi and lasted in my fridge for more than a week (was my weekly supply to eat) *frozen non-fried spring rolls and other healthy frozen foods with less sodium and chemicals (would buy often) *veggie burgers *sticky rice *a more healthy ramen alternative (would buy quite often) *curry with less chemicals and less salt oh my goodness *lower sodium than even the low sodium items already which is a request *echinacea juice *frozen or canned plantains (would buy often) *A2 cow based ice cream, yogurt and cheeses (would buy VERY often) *More chips! I was so very upset after my shopping here today..we bought mik today on the north side for 2.38 but on the south side it was 1.30 .Then I tried to go to produce and there was a gauntlet to get by. Finally got by. Went to the bakery to get a loaf of bread sliced but their slicer is still broken. Hogging on 3 months now. Then I went to the deli ,saw5 people behind the counter. There was a man waiting before me. We waited 2 minutes then a woman waited on him while another person had to fill the cheese. While the line grew. Finally I got my deli she did say sorry for the waiting. Then I made it to self check out, I brought alcohol so I had to wait for approval, while I was waiting I her 2 employees bitching about another employee , they finished their conversations then one of them finally came to finish my check out. A person I overheard once described Meijer as the Midwest's mass merchandiser. It is pretty much comparable to Wal-Mart and Target with more balance of merchandise in each department while Wal-Mart and Target cater to certain demographics based on the inventory I have seen in the store. Here, the pharmacy is on the left entrance and the groceries are on the right entrance with a Subway inside of it. The electronics and toys are at the back of the store and the seasonal merchandise is scattered along the aisles. They also sell pet fish, although some of the fish we saw were dying or dead. Poor fish. Not to mention that buying expired merchandise kind of defeats the purpose of paying for it, but I wasn't there to shop for pet fish anyway. They have a large selection of merchandise in each department, though the selection is pretty much what one can find at any mass merchandiser, although they do have a small selection of diverse board games that one normally finds at Barnes and Noble or at a comic book shop. At this location, there are a lot of self-checkouts so one doesn't have to interact with anyone to check their merchandise out, as I did. We just ran in real quick for some thirst quenchers- wine, water and bottled coffee. They had a solid selection of local wines, and lots were even on sale too! We picked out a bottle as a gift and saved $2 off the winery price. Woohoo! There was also sales on the other drinks we chose, which was nice. Not a lot of individual water bottle choices though. Chris the manager at the North Muskegon Meijer has zero managerial skills. He told me that in 14years meijer has NEVER did exchanges. This is simply not true furthermore I have never heard of a store not doing exchanges. He is a lair and and should not be a manager and its a true shame someone like him is. The women I was fist dealing with took my product and scanned it without asking me if something was wrong with it, if I wanted to return or exchange, she just put it back on a friends credit card so I not only left meijer without my product/money, but now I have to ask the person that got it for me to go back to meijer and buy it again because of such poor customer service. The thing did not work and all I wanted to do was exchange and now they made a mess of it and I have to waste my time and my friends. Chose the wrong place to order a cake. They were "unsure" about what cake we wanted, so instead of calling us for reassurance, they decided to "wing" it and made the wrong cake. If you're looking to reserve a cake, go elsewhere. read more
