When I asked to reschedule for later that same day, I decided against it and left instead. Doctors run behind schedule all the time and patients are expected to wait it out. A 12-minute grace period, or even a quick courtesy call, isn't unreasonable to ask for -- especially for a first visit. If this is how new patients are treated before they've even been seen, it doesn't inspire confidence in how existing patients are treated when something urgent comes up.

Dr Briseno's answer to my question was: Ma'am, I have other patients. My husband ended up in the hospital one week later, and never recovered from his illness. Indeed, Dr. Briseno spends a lot of time with his patients, however, much of that time is spent on him typing and talking into his little recorder, or taking a call from "his neighbor", or discussing his military service. Had he given our concerns a minute of attention, he might have discovered that my husband was indeed very ill. The fact that many reviewers comment on Dr. B's military service and the amount of time he spends with patients explains why he didn't have time when it was my husband's turn to see him.

I got to know the whole staff while I was there and I can assure you their positive attitudes are contagious! I really enjoyed getting to know all therapists and assistant trainers at this location. I had a chance to work with Troy, Amy, Madison, Nicole at one point or another and they were all very knowledgeable and helpful! Karen and Kayla at the office/front desk always made billing and scheduling a breeze. Convenient location just a half block off of Del Prado in central Cape Coral with plenty of safe parking for my nice truck in a private lot exclusively for APT clients.
