This office rarely answers the phone and it takes days for them to return a call. The office staff does not portray confidence.

Associates in nephrology, Lehigh Acres…read more TYPE OF CARE: Kidney transplants, chronic kidney disease and related concerns. There are four Lee county offices, which is good coverage for most potential patients. CARE QUALITY: I have found Mary Magno Mouracade, MD, to be delightful and very involved as one of the physicians. Highly recommended. OFFICE EXPERIENCE: Unfortunately, the follow-through at the Lehigh office is lacking greatly and needs a much better-trained staff. Getting a simple prescription refilled is impossible. Staff on phone admits their patient portal (by Athena) doesn't even have an RX refill section. (It turns out that employee was just wrong). Getting these Athena log-on portals to work with its many physicians is horrible - you need a new email address for all your member physicians or the passwords fail to work. Personally waiting over a week for the office to respond to my pharmacy for a simple refill. No luck. I'm going to try phoning one of their other offices for the refill. The fault is not at the pharmacy, the office simply "doesn't work" and it's irritating but I'd rather not leave my relationship with a very good doctor over this odd office procedure. Very sad. SUMMARY: Hard to feel great about the Lehigh office. Make your own decisions on this one. I'm out. FOLLOW-UP: Reached a very bright associate at the scheduling office today who was excellent and assisted greatly in making advances for me to remedy my prior written notes above. Revised my review to "Recommended" primarily because the service Dr. Mouracade provides is greatly needed by so many suffering persons.
