The Caladium Arts and Crafts Co-Op is a non profit that was created in 1992 by three Lake Placid Artists: Carol Mills, Harriet Porter, and Suellen Robinson. The ladies wanted to create a place for local artists and crafters to display and market their creations to the public. The store is like Etsy shop that you can walk around in person. In addition to selling the work of artists, the co-op also has a room in the back that offers a variety of classes. You can view the current offerings on Facebook. A recent project was a rope bowl. If I lived locally I would be a regular visitor to this inspirational and welcoming space.

They have unique merchandise and there is always something new and all by local artists. Even my…read morehusband likes to go there!
