An aladdins cave full of bargains to be had, from household items such as cleaning products, candles/incense to ornaments and bedding, curtains and electrical items etc. There are some really nice gift sets available, and lots of baby items, prams and moses baskets, as well as young childrens clothes and toys. DIY products can be found here also.
Megs bargains is at its busiest when the cruise liners are docked in the harbour near by, with many tourists looking for souviners, megs has a section with a vast selection of items which would delight any tourist.
There are always good sales on, with things being reduced dramatically. There are always little baskets scattered around the place with little reduced items. I was delighted to go in there last week and come out with a lot of things for peoples christmas.
It is easily accessed as it is on the level, unfortunately with the layout as it is it is kind of hard to move around, and could possibly be re-addressed, as the aisles are narrow and when it's busy it's very frustrating to move. pushchairs and wheelchairs would find it difficult to move about. Sometimes, too, there is stock lying in the aisles which again, is very annoying when you have to either try and get past it or go back and round the other way.. Parking is also an issue as there is not much space, however it is only a couple of minutes walking distance from the car parks in the town. Megs bargains can actually be missed when driving in the car mainly because it is a little off the main street, it would probably benefit from a sign or something pointing directly to its whereabouts.
But apart from that it is well worth a look, especially with the friendly staff. read more
