I hired Jacob Megquier to replace a large deck and privacy fence. It's complete and I'm very happy with the results. He designed it and helped me with ideas for materials. The estimate was close to the final cost of the deck. He scheduled it about 4 months out because he was booked with other jobs until late summer but he started on time and completed on plan. This was a complete replacement including footings and framing. His work is impeccable and it shows in the results. While attaching the frame to the house he had to remove some siding and found some rotted wood. He replaced that and the siding so the house wall is like new. He also ordered the materials, arranged for deliveries and removed the old deck and waste from the site. He talked with me throughout the job about progress and any issues or design decisions. Jake is terrific. He has a wonderful attitude and is easy to work with. I just moved here and he has helped with everything! He has un crated large mirrors/pictures, stacked firewood, taken out a built in bookshelf, old valences etc. He'll tackle it all- and clean everything up. He is honest, trustworthy and dependable.
