Donna of DK Photographic is a wonderful lady, I was recommended to use her through a former customer and friend of mine. The customer also used her for her wedding and raved about her work. So I had to see what it was all about and meet her in person! I met her and from then on we connected very well. Let's just say she was more than just a photographer for me she felt like the wedding planner too. When my dress was having some issues during the wedding, she was there to pin it and make me feel better before entering the dance floor. My wedding planner, couldn't even do what Donna did. It's those crucial moments you don't think about before your wedding that make it a big deal because it's really the biggest day of your life. Let's say I also interviewed a lot of photographers and Donna stood out because it wasn't just her unique style of photography but the fact she really cared about the bride and groom which I didn't feel with the other people we talked to. If it were possible to give this "business" zero stars, I would…read more Back in June, my son had his picture taken for the Annehurst Swim Team. The pictures themselves turned out great, however his name was misspelled on the trading cards and on the team picture. When I mentioned this to the head swim coach, she assured me all I had to do was contact the photographer, Rick Hilyard, in order to have the spelling corrected and replaced. The first time I emailed the photographer was about 10 days after we received our pictures. He replied promptly, asked for the corrected spelling, and promised to get me corrected photos. This was roughly the fourth week of June. After sending him a second email with the corrected spelling, I did not get a response from him. After about three weeks, I still had not heard back so I sent him a third email asking if he had dropped the photos off at the pool. I also included my home address in the event it was easier to drop the corrected photos in the mail. I, once again, got no response. I gave him another two weeks, and, at that point, requested that if he was unable to get the corrected photos completed for whatever reason, that I would be fine just accepting a refund. This is now my fourth email, and once again, I got no response. At this point, I involved a swim team board member in order to expedite the process. And wouldn't you know it, I got an immediate response following my request for the board member to contact Mr. Hilyard on my behalf. He asked me AGAIN how to spell my son's name (even though it was in the email from June that I had sent). This was now my fifth email sent regarding this matter. And after the request for the corrected spelling a second time, he again stopped responding. I emailed him a sixth time about two weeks ago again requesting that I get refunded for my purchase, since it was quite clear my photos were not going to be replaced. And, I'm sure you can guess, I got NO RESPONSE. I am quite hopeful that next year the Annehurst Swim Team uses a more reputable photographer- not just some guy with a camera- for their swim team photos, as I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. The photos I received are completely unusable because his name is spelled incorrectly and I've now been waiting for either a refund or corrected photos for almost three months, which is absolutely absurd. At this point I will be contacting my credit card company in order to dispute the charges, as that seems to be the only option left at this point. I also posted on our local neighborhood website, that this photographer is a part of, and when I informed him I would be doing so, he emailed me back almost immediately. No apology for the ridiculously horrible customer service, asking for my address FOR A THIRD TIME, and informing me he would be "mailing me a check." I'm not holding my breath. He also took it upon himself to have my post flagged and removed- great business tactic. Upon further investigation, this "business" is not a business at all. He is operating without a license, my guess is to avoid taxation. When he finally did refund my money (roughly after four months of requesting for a refund) it came from his own personal checking account in the form of a personal check. Do yourself a favor and find a more reputable photographer. This guy is a joke. At best, you'll get poor customer service. At worst, he'll screw you over without any repercussions, as he's not licensed or listed with the BBB or with the state of Ohio.
